Description

What the Desert Eagle | Light Rail looks like in Battle-Scarred

This is the Desert Eagle | Light Rail in Battle-Scarred (BS), the lowest wear of the finish. The top of the scale here is 0.90, not 1.00, and no copy of the skin is more worn than that. The float limits of the Desert Eagle | Light Rail in this wear are 0.45 and 0.90. The rank is Restricted and the collection is The Prisma Collection.

Where the Desert Eagle | Light Rail came from

The pistol is mostly black and glossy: the frame and grip carry no color, and the grip and the side have vertical grooves. All the action is on the slide, where a long panel passes from dark brown to a golden amber at the muzzle, and the front sight shines gold. According to Valve, the paint is an optical illusion that appears to bend the weapon's geometry.

Wear in Battle-Scarred is the deepest of the five wears, and the float shows its degree inside a wide band. The wear is set at the drop, and a copy keeps it for good.

What to check before buying

The finish went into the Prisma Case and into the collection of the same name, The Prisma Collection. The Desert Eagle | Light Rail was released in March 2019, together with the collection.

In the item description Valve reminds you that the Desert Eagle is an iconic pistol: hard to master, yet surprisingly accurate at long range.

What the Desert Eagle | Light Rail costs in Battle-Scarred

When choosing a Desert Eagle | Light Rail, buyers look at the following:

  • the float inside the 0.45 to 0.90 band: it is wide, and copies at its edges differ;

  • the condition of the gold on the front sight and at the muzzle;

  • stickers and a name tag, which pass along with the listing.

The same artwork is printed on every copy.

The wear of this skin is stretched from 0.45 to 0.90, and you can see it on inspection.

Getting the Desert Eagle | Light Rail

Higher wears cost a good deal more: Factory New almost fifteen times as much, Minimal Wear two and a half times, Field-Tested and Well-Worn only a few percent more.

Among Restricted Deagles with a price in this wear, four skins are cheaper and seven cost more. Directive costs a bit more; Mulberry and Firebreathing are cheaper, and Trigger Discipline and Serpent Strike noticeably cheaper. At the top edge of the rank stand Pilot and both versions of Sunset Storm (壱 and 弐).

StatTrak and Souvenir

The skin drops from the Prisma Case. A trade-up contract for it takes ten Mil-Spec skins, and they may come from any collections: the result comes from the set of one of the inputs. A ten made entirely of Prisma skins steers the outcome there, but it is never required.

Stickers and craft on the Desert Eagle | Light Rail

The Desert Eagle | Light Rail has a StatTrak version. There are no Souvenir packages for this finish.

Who this wear suits

The black gloss of the frame accepts stickers of any color, while on the golden-amber panel of the slide dark and gold ones stand out more.

The Desert Eagle | Light Rail in Battle-Scarred is a reasonable buy when:

  • you want a Deagle with black gloss and an amber panel at the lowest price of the finish;

  • a wide choice of float inside the 0.45 to 0.90 band matters;

  • scuffed edges on the slide do not bother you.

In CS2 the wear of a skin affects only its looks, not how the Deagle shoots.
