Desert Eagle | Ocean Drive (Field-Tested)

The Desert Eagle | Ocean Drive in Field-Tested (FT) is a Covert Deagle that costs 3.34 times less than in Factory New. The skin drops from the Operation Riptide Case and exists in all five wears, from Factory New to Battle-Scarred. Field-Tested copies carry a float from 0.15 to 0.38.

What the Desert Eagle | Ocean Drive looks like in Field-Tested

Valve describes the finish as a custom paint job in oversaturated colors and varied shapes. This wear of the Desert Eagle | Ocean Drive is assigned the float 0.15 to 0.38, and the paint is applied identically on every copy.

Wear is fixed at the drop. For this pistol the float number matters more than the wear label: the stretch from 0.15 to 0.38 holds different looks.

Where the Desert Eagle | Ocean Drive came from

The skin belongs to The Operation Riptide Collection. Valve introduced the operation in September 2021, and its announcement said that missions completed would earn rewards that included new weapon collections.

What to check before buying

When choosing a Desert Eagle | Ocean Drive, pay attention to the following:

• the float: nearer 0.15 the paint is better preserved, nearer 0.38 there are more scuffs;

• the name tag and stickers this Desert Eagle | Ocean Drive already carries;

• StatTrak: a version with a counter exists and sells as a separate item.

The pattern is the same across all copies of the Desert Eagle | Ocean Drive, so there is no special copy to look for.

What the Desert Eagle | Ocean Drive costs in Field-Tested

• Factory New costs 3.34 times as much;

• Minimal Wear costs 1.17 times as much;

• Well-Worn is level, the gap being under three percent;

• Battle-Scarred is level as well.

The three lower wears, from Field-Tested to Battle-Scarred, cost almost the same, and the main jump in price comes at Factory New.

Of the three Covert Desert Eagles, this one is the most expensive in this wear: Code Red is cheaper by about a third, and Printstream by about half.

Getting the Desert Eagle | Ocean Drive

A trade-up for the Desert Eagle | Ocean Drive takes ten skins one step lower from the same collection. It holds two Covert skins, so the chance of getting this Deagle is one in two.

Covert rank also serves for a craft: five such skins trade for a knife. From Operation Riptide these are the Bowie Knife, Butterfly Knife, Falchion Knife, Huntsman Knife and Shadow Daggers.

StatTrak and Souvenir

Who this wear suits

The Desert Eagle | Ocean Drive has a StatTrak™ version. No Souvenir packages were released for this finish: they were made only for the map collections of tournaments. But you can build a Souvenir copy yourself. The Souvenir-O-Matic puts gold tournament stickers and a player autograph on an ordinary skin from your inventory. That is why single Souvenir copies occasionally turn up even where packages never existed.

Buying the Desert Eagle | Ocean Drive right here makes sense if:

• you want a Covert Deagle for CS2 and have no need to pay the Factory New premium of 3.34 times;

• you pick a listing by float number rather than by wear label, since the stretch from 0.15 to 0.38 is wide;

• you are considering all three lower wears: they cost almost the same, and the look of the particular listing decides.
