Minimal Wear (MW) on the Desert Eagle | Ocean Drive is a Covert Deagle that costs almost three times less than Factory New yet sits close to the lower wears. The skin belongs to The Operation Riptide Collection and has been part of it since the collection launched.
What the Desert Eagle | Ocean Drive looks like in Minimal Wear
The finish has three colors: violet, orange and mint-turquoise, laid in slanted planes with a halftone of fine dots. Turquoise picks out the muzzle and the trigger guard. The grip is orange, and the slide is violet with an orange wedge in the middle.
In Minimal Wear there is slight scuffing on the most exposed edges, but the planes themselves stay solid and the dot halftone reads. To the eye such a copy is close to Factory New until you look at it up close.
What to check before buying
Picking a copy of this Deagle comes down to two points:
- float within the 0.07–0.15 band;
- stickers and a name tag handed down by the previous owner.
In this wear the float scale runs from 0.07 to 0.15. A stretch that short means the differences between listings fall within the margin of error. Every copy wears the same pattern.
What the Desert Eagle | Ocean Drive costs in Minimal Wear
The other wears, compared with this one:
- Factory New costs almost three times more;
- Field-Tested costs about a seventh less;
- Well-Worn costs about a seventh less;
- Battle-Scarred costs about a seventh less.
Below Minimal Wear the price hardly changes: the three lower wears cost practically the same.
Among the four Covert Desert Eagles, this skin is second by price in this wear. Only Golden Koi sits above it, at two and a half times as much. Code Red is cheaper by about a quarter, Printstream by a third.
Getting the Desert Eagle | Ocean Drive
The Deagle drops from the Operation Riptide Case. It also comes out of a trade-up: ten skins one rank lower from a single collection go into the contract. The skin was released on September 22, 2021.
StatTrak and Souvenir
A StatTrak version of the Desert Eagle | Ocean Drive exists. No souvenir packages were issued for this finish, as those were made only for tournament map collections. A souvenir copy can be built yourself through the Souvenir-O-Matic, which puts gold tournament stickers and a player autograph on a regular skin from your inventory.
Stickers and craft on the Desert Eagle | Ocean Drive
There is little scuffing, so stickers sit on even paint. The orange grip and the violet slide take white and black stickers well, while red ones get lost in the orange. If a craft calls for two or three stickers, spread them across planes of different colors.
Who this wear suits
Minimal Wear is the right choice on the Desert Eagle | Ocean Drive when:
- you want nearly clean paint and the Factory New price is too high;
- scuffs on the edges are acceptable, but not across the whole body;
- a gap of a seventh from the lower wears is worth a more even look.
In CS2 wear has no effect on shooting: it changes only how the skin looks.
