Minimal Wear (MW) is the second step of the scale for the Desert Eagle | Serpent Strike: the scales are still continuous, but the edges have been touched. The float runs from 0.07 to 0.15, which is 14% of a scale that stretches to 0.57. This is a Restricted skin in The Fever Collection.
What the Desert Eagle | Serpent Strike looks like in Minimal Wear
The main color is orange and russet snake scales across the slide and the top of the frame, with dark red inserts. The bevel at the muzzle is scaled too. The trigger and the muzzle are picked out in bright orange, and the grip panels are dark gray with a burgundy pattern.
In MW only a thin light rim shows on the slide edge and the frame corners. Most of the slide is still painted, and the snake on the grip reads in full. A copy stays as it dropped: wear is assigned once.
Where the Desert Eagle | Serpent Strike came from
The skin arrived in the game on March 31, 2025. Its artist is nikto, and its number in Valve's catalog is 1189. Valve's note for that update names only the case, "The Fever Case".
What to check before buying
When picking a listing, these matter:
- float: the band from 0.07 to 0.15 is narrow, but near the lower bound the slide edge is cleaner;
- the pattern on the slide: the stencil lands with an offset, so copies look different;
- a name tag and stickers, if they are already on this Desert Eagle.
Within 0.07 to 0.15 there is no real best copy to hunt for: the difference comes more from where the scales fall than from wear.
Pattern variance on the Desert Eagle | Serpent Strike
This finish varies from copy to copy: a Spray-Paint is laid on through a stencil, and each copy gets its own layout. In Minimal Wear the edges do not yet get in the way of judging it, so comparing listings by pattern is easier here than in the lower wears.
What the Desert Eagle | Serpent Strike costs in Minimal Wear
Measured against Minimal Wear, the other wears sit like this:
- Factory New is 1.9 times dearer;
- Well-Worn is 1.2 times cheaper;
- Field-Tested is 1.3 times cheaper;
- Battle-Scarred is 1.6 times cheaper.
Among Restricted Desert Eagles, this one is again the cheapest. Above it in price come Desert Eagle | Trigger Discipline, Desert Eagle | Firebreathing and Desert Eagle | Light Rail. The top of the line belongs to Desert Eagle | Blaze and both Sunset Storm finishes, which cost hundreds of times more.
Getting the Desert Eagle | Serpent Strike
This Deagle comes out of the Fever Case, and the finish has no other case.
The trade-up contract is the fallback. Ten Mil-Spec skins can be gathered from different collections, and each input pulls the result toward its own set. If all ten are from The Fever Collection, the Deagle comes out at one in five, matching the number of Restricted skins there.
StatTrak and Souvenir
A StatTrak version of the Desert Eagle | Serpent Strike exists. No Souvenir packages were issued for the finish, since those were made only for tournament map collections. A Souvenir copy can be built yourself through the Souvenir-O-Matic.
Stickers and craft on the Desert Eagle | Serpent Strike
The scales take up the whole slide, so a sticker covers the pattern. The dark gray grip with its burgundy pattern suits dark stickers. In MW the light rim along the slide edge is narrow and does not take room away from a sticker.
Who this wear suits
Minimal Wear makes sense in these situations:
- you want an even finish without serious scuffing, but not at the FN price;
- the Deagle is going into CS2 matches, but the scales on the slide must stay whole;
- the pattern on the slide has to be picked by eye, not by float alone.
Wear has no effect on shooting in CS2: Minimal Wear is bought for the look of the slide.
