The Desert Eagle | Starcade in Field-Tested (FT) is a Classified pistol from the Graphic Design Collection: an abstract design with a metallic shimmer. The float here runs from 0.15 to 0.38. The skin drops from no case, and all five wears exist.
What the Desert Eagle | Starcade looks like in Field-Tested
By Valve's description, the pistol is custom painted, with an abstract design applied in paint that carries metallic flakes. The tagline reads "A New High Score!". Both teams can use the pistol.
The Field-Tested range of the Desert Eagle | Starcade lies between 0.15 and 0.38. That is about a third of the skin's scale, which runs to 0.75. Wear is set at the drop and never changes afterward, so a listing shows exactly the condition the buyer will receive.
Where the Desert Eagle | Starcade came from
Valve itself authored the finish, and there was no Steam Workshop submission behind it. The skin appeared on October 2, 2024, when the Graphic Design Collection was added to the game. The Armory update came out the same day. Its Valve catalog number is 938.
What to check before buying
Before buying a Desert Eagle | Starcade, a few points are worth checking:
- float: the closer the number is to 0.38, the more visible the scuffs;
- stickers and name tag already on that copy of the Desert Eagle | Starcade;
- StatTrak: the game has only the regular version of this skin, so the listing will carry no counter.
Copies of the Desert Eagle | Starcade differ only in wear, since the artwork is shared. Listings between 0.15 and 0.38 can look noticeably different from one another.
What the Desert Eagle | Starcade costs in Field-Tested
The other wears stand like this relative to Field-Tested:
- Factory New is worth over four times Field-Tested here;
- Minimal Wear costs almost twice as much;
- Well-Worn costs about the same;
- Battle-Scarred is almost one and a half times cheaper.
Among Classified Desert Eagles at this wear, only Desert Eagle | Cobalt Disruption and Desert Eagle | Fennec Fox cost more than the Starcade. The nearest one below, Desert Eagle | Conspiracy, is almost twice as cheap.
Getting the Desert Eagle | Starcade
No case holds the Desert Eagle | Starcade. It belongs to the Graphic Design Collection, which came out together with the Armory update.
A contract produces it too: ten Restricted skins from that collection go in. The Graphic Design Collection has two Classified skins, the other being an AUG, so the chance at this pistol is one in two. The Desert Eagle | Starcade itself goes into the contract for an AWP, the only Covert skin of the collection.
StatTrak and Souvenir
Valve never released a StatTrak version of the Desert Eagle | Starcade. Souvenir copies turn up, but there were no souvenir packages for this finish: those were made only for the tournament map collections. Such copies are made with the Souvenir-O-Matic, which puts gold tournament stickers and a player autograph on a regular skin from the inventory.
Stickers and craft on the Desert Eagle | Starcade
The design is abstract and metallic, so stickers in matching tones blend into it, while plain white and black ones give contrast.
Who this wear suits
The Desert Eagle | Starcade in Field-Tested makes sense on these terms:
- you want an abstract Desert Eagle with a metallic shimmer, without paying extra for Factory New;
- wear up to 0.38 is acceptable, and the lower wears are not needed;
- comparing listings by look matters: across 0.15 to 0.38 they differ.
Well-Worn costs about the same as this wear, and Battle-Scarred is almost one and a half times cheaper.
