Description

Desert Eagle | Sunset Storm 弐 in Field-Tested (FT): red metal with tiers of waves, on which wear is already noticeable. The float for this wear runs from 0.15 to 0.38, under a finish ceiling of 0.75. The rank is Restricted, and the Desert Eagle belongs to the Rising Sun Collection.

What the Desert Eagle | Sunset Storm 弐 looks like in Field-Tested

The base is dark red metal, with tiers of waves drawn over it in pale copper and fine hatching. A figure with a face in the manner of a Japanese woodblock print shows on the grip, and curls of cloud sit on the front of the slide. Valve describes the finish as the hydrographic of a stormy sea over a red metal base.

In Field-Tested the hydrographic is already rubbed away along the edges of the slide and the trigger guard, though the waves still read in full. Wear is fixed at drop, and the float of a copy does not grow with time.

Where the Desert Eagle | Sunset Storm 弐 came from

The Rising Sun Collection is named in Valve's note of May 28, 2015, about Operation Bloodhound, among the exclusive collections of that operation.

What to check before buying

What sets one Desert Eagle | Sunset Storm 弐 listing apart from another:

  • the character in the name: 弐 is this skin, while Sunset Storm 壱 is a different skin with a different pattern;

  • the float: the Field-Tested band runs from 0.15 to 0.38;

  • the edges of the slide and the trigger guard, where the paint comes off first;

  • the name tag and stickers, which come along with the listing.

This wear spans 0.15 to 0.38, and the listings range from almost clean bodies to visibly scuffed ones.

What the Desert Eagle | Sunset Storm 弐 costs in Field-Tested

The other wears relative to this one:

  • Factory New is level, with a difference under three percent;

  • Minimal Wear costs about a sixth more;

  • Well-Worn costs a few percent more;

  • Battle-Scarred costs about a tenth more.

No wear of the finish costs noticeably less than Field-Tested, and Factory New comes in at almost the same price. The scale runs to 0.75, and this wear gets 0.23 of it, which is 31%.

Among Restricted Desert Eagles in this wear, the finish is in the top four, together with Desert Eagle | Sunset Storm 壱, Hand Cannon and Emerald Jörmungandr. Right beside it, a few percent cheaper, stands 壱. After that comes a gap of several times: the next one by price, Desert Eagle | Pilot, is more than five times cheaper.

Getting the Desert Eagle | Sunset Storm 弐

Desert Eagle | Sunset Storm 弐 does not drop from cases. A trade-up builds it, from ten skins one step down within a single collection. The Rising Sun Collection has three Mil-Spec finishes and four Restricted ones, so the odds are one in four. The skin itself goes into the input for the only finish of the rank above in the collection, AK-47 | Hydroponic.

StatTrak and Souvenir

No StatTrak version of Desert Eagle | Sunset Storm 弐 was ever released. Souvenir copies do exist, but there were no packages for this finish, since those were made only for the tournament map collections. Such copies are built through the Souvenir-O-Matic, which puts gold tournament stickers and a player autograph on an ordinary skin from the inventory.

Stickers and craft on the Desert Eagle | Sunset Storm 弐

The dark red base takes light and cool stickers: white, silver and light blue ones read at once, while red and orange ones dissolve into the waves. Small stickers get lost in the hatching, and large ones stay visible. Crafts for CS2 built on it get a saturated red accent.

Who this wear suits

A Desert Eagle | Sunset Storm 弐 in this wear is worth buying if:

  • you want a red Desert Eagle with waves, and visible wear does not bother you;

  • you want a price from the lower part of this finish's wear ladder, where nothing is noticeably cheaper than this wear;

  • the stickers in CS2 need a saturated dark red background.

If wear bothers you, Factory New costs almost as much, and its float band is 0.00 to 0.07.
