Battle-Scarred (BS) is the most scuffed of the five wears of the Desert Eagle | Trigger Discipline. It is also the only one with a trimmed band: the skin's float ceiling is 0.97 instead of the standard 1.00. Rank is Restricted, set The Snakebite Collection. For CS2, this Deagle can be had in its most worn form.
What the Desert Eagle | Trigger Discipline looks like in Battle-Scarred
The front of the slide and the barrel are covered in pink paint with an isometric pattern of black and white diamonds. The rear half of the slide and the grip are black, and the slide carries the finish's name on a blue strip. The hammer and sight are a vivid blue, as Valve's description says.
Battle-Scarred means maximum wear. On such a copy the scuffs take up noticeably more area than in the upper wears. On the pink field they catch the eye at once, while on the black grip and the rear of the slide they are harder to see.
Where the Desert Eagle | Trigger Discipline came from
The skin appeared in the game on May 4, 2021. Valve describes the Snakebite Case as a set of 17 community-drawn finishes, in which the Broken Fang gloves play the role of rare special items. The sources do not name the artist of the finish itself.
Valve's item description ends on the line "Patience is its own reward".
What to check before buying
It makes sense to verify the following:
- float: the wear of this Deagle in this wear lies between 0.45 and 0.97;
- what the previous owner left on it, stickers and a name tag;
- the item version: StatTrak exists for the finish, and such listings are sold separately.
There are no pattern variants for this Deagle, so there is nothing to choose by. What does fit between 0.45 and 0.97 is a difference worth comparing several listings for.
What the Desert Eagle | Trigger Discipline costs in Battle-Scarred
Set beside Battle-Scarred, the remaining wears come out thus:
- Factory New is 9.76 times dearer;
- Minimal Wear is 3.11 times dearer;
- Field-Tested is 1.41 times dearer;
- Well-Worn costs almost the same: the difference is under three percent.
The Battle-Scarred band takes 54% of the skin's scale, more than half, while Factory New gets only the stretch from 0.00 to 0.07. That is where the gap between top and bottom comes from.
Among Restricted Desert Eagles in this wear, only Serpent Strike is cheaper. Higher in price come Firebreathing, Light Rail and Directive, and at the upper edge of the line stand Pilot and both Sunset Storm finishes, 壱 and 弐.
Getting the Desert Eagle | Trigger Discipline
The source of this Deagle is the Snakebite Case.
The trade-up contract is another road. Ten Mil-Spec skins go in, the collections can be any, and what comes out is a Restricted skin from one of the sets the inputs were taken from. A player who puts in only The Snakebite Collection picks the set himself and gets this Deagle at one in five.
StatTrak and Souvenir
The Desert Eagle | Trigger Discipline has a StatTrak version, and there are no Souvenir packages for the finish.
Stickers and craft on the Desert Eagle | Trigger Discipline
The pink field with diamonds is busy by itself, and small bright stickers get lost on it. The black grip and the rear half of the slide give an even background where contrasting and light stickers read better. For a worn Battle-Scarred copy that is convenient: paint chips on the dark areas do not argue with a craft.
Who this wear suits
Battle-Scarred is worth buying on this Deagle for three reasons:
- you want a pink and black Deagle for CS2 at the finish's lowest price;
- the Factory New look is not needed, and paying 9.76 times more for it is not justified;
- the plan is a craft with light stickers on the black parts, and the condition of the pistol itself does not matter.
If the wear bothers you, the nearest step up is Field-Tested, which costs 1.41 times more.
