Description

The Well-Worn (WW) Dual Berettas | Melondrama is a pair of watermelon pistols with plainly visible scuffs, priced almost level with Field-Tested. It is a Classified skin from the Dreams & Nightmares Case, and in CS2 the duals suit both sides.

What the Dual Berettas | Melondrama looks like in Well-Worn

The ground is a deep blue. On each slide sits the red pulp of a watermelon in a green rind, pulled into a grimace with yellow eyes, teeth and a snarl. Gold zigzags, dots and stars are scattered around it. The grips carry turquoise graffiti, and the lower grip is red and ridged.

Well-Worn on this skin spans a float of 0.38 to 0.45. The scuffs show at once: pale metal comes through along the slide edges, the frame corners and the ribbed checkering of the grip. The center of the watermelon holds out longer, and the wear stays exactly what it was when the skin dropped.

Where the Dual Berettas | Melondrama came from

The Dreams & Nightmares Case and Collection arrived together on January 21, 2022, and the Dual Berettas | Melondrama is one of the skins in the set. Valve described the case as a collection of seventeen skins from the Steam Workshop, and called this pair a "twisted, frightening depiction of a watermelon".

What to check before buying

Choosing a particular copy of this skin comes down to two things:

  • float: the 0.38 to 0.45 band takes up 7% of the scale, and a copy near 0.38 keeps more paint;

  • any name tag and stickers on the copy, which stay with the listing.

Every copy carries the same pattern, and float gives little to choose by, because the stretch from 0.38 to 0.45 is so short.

What the Dual Berettas | Melondrama costs in Well-Worn

Set beside Well-Worn, the other four wears come out as follows:

  • Factory New: roughly two and a half times the price of Well-Worn;

  • Minimal Wear costs a few percent more, about an eighth;

  • Field-Tested is level;

  • Battle-Scarred is a few percent cheaper.

Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred are within a fifth of one another on price.

On price the skin holds the middle place among the three Classified Dual Berettas. Dual Berettas | Twin Turbo costs less than half as much, while Dual Berettas | Cobra Strike costs ten times more.

Getting the Dual Berettas | Melondrama

Opening a Dreams & Nightmares Case can produce the Dual Berettas | Melondrama, and there are no souvenir packages for it.

A trade-up needs ten skins of the rank below, all from this collection. The skin itself feeds a contract into a Covert: AK-47 | Nightwish or MP9 | Starlight Protector.

StatTrak and Souvenir

The Dual Berettas | Melondrama comes with StatTrak, and there are no souvenir packages for it.

Stickers and craft on the Dual Berettas | Melondrama

Scuffed edges draw the eye away from stickers, so one on the frame or near the barrel looks natural. Bright, light stickers hold up well on the blue, while red ones merge with the watermelon pulp. A large craft is best kept away from the snarling faces.

Who this wear suits

Well-Worn is the right pick for the Dual Berettas | Melondrama in three cases:

  • you want watermelon duals with visible wear and no premium for cleanliness;

  • Factory New costs two and a half times as much, and that gap is more than you need;

  • the snarl reads on the slide, and the scuffed edges don't get in its way.
