The FAMAS | Mecha Industries in Minimal Wear (MW) has clean paint, a step short of Factory New. It is a Classified skin that drops from the Glove Case, and by price it stands third from the top among FAMAS skins of its rank. In this wear it costs noticeably less than Factory New.
What the FAMAS | Mecha Industries looks like in Minimal Wear
The skin is assembled from white and light gray panels with a sandy undertone. Red-orange lines run as narrow stripes along the ribs of the carry handle, by the trigger and on the stock, and the trigger itself is red. White covers the body, handle, stock and grip. The barrel is bare metal.
The design recalls a plastic model kit: the panels are divided by clear seams, with dark gray mesh inserts lying between them. The magazine is dark, and a cream stripe and a dotted line run along it. A small red emblem sits on the side of the body, and nothing on it can be read. The surface is smooth and clean.
The float band for the FAMAS | Mecha Industries in this wear runs from 0.07 to 0.15. Wear is fixed at drop, and on a light body in this band, scuffs are hard to see.
Where the FAMAS | Mecha Industries came from
The Glove Collection came out in November 2016, and the FAMAS | Mecha Industries arrived with it, like the other skins of that collection. It drops from the Glove Case. There is no data on the author.
What to check before buying
When choosing a FAMAS | Mecha Industries listing, this matters:
- float within 0.07 to 0.15: the spread on the FAMAS | Mecha Industries is so small that choosing by float is pointless;
- stickers and a name tag already on this copy of the FAMAS | Mecha Industries;
- the listing's price next to other listings of the same wear.
The pattern index changes nothing on the FAMAS | Mecha Industries: the design is identical on every copy.
What the FAMAS | Mecha Industries costs in Minimal Wear
Against the other wears, the skin sits as follows:
- Factory New costs more than four times as much;
- Field-Tested (FT): about an eighth lower;
- Well-Worn: about an eighth lower;
- Battle-Scarred: about an eighth lower.
The three lowest wears lie close together, and Minimal Wear is a little above them. On a 0.50 scale it takes 16 percent, a band of 0.08.
Among Classified FAMAS skins, this one is third from the top in this wear. Above it are the FAMAS | Waters of Nephthys, by a clear margin, and the FAMAS | Meltdown, which costs only a couple of percent more. Below stand the FAMAS | Afterimage, the FAMAS | Djinn, the FAMAS | Eye of Athena and the FAMAS | Rapid Eye Movement.
Getting the FAMAS | Mecha Industries
A contract also yields the FAMAS | Mecha Industries: ten skins of the rank below, from the same collection. It has one case, the Glove Case. As an input it works too: ten Classified skins of the collection exchange for one Covert.
StatTrak and Souvenir
A StatTrak™ version of the FAMAS | Mecha Industries exists. Souvenir packages do not include it.
Stickers and craft on the FAMAS | Mecha Industries
The light body gives stickers a clean field. The red lines are narrow, and a sticker fits between them without overlap. Dark and bright stickers read best on white. Because the surface is smooth and unscuffed, a sticker looks applied to a new panel.
Who this wear suits
This wear of the FAMAS | Mecha Industries is worth buying if:
- you want nearly clean white paint with red accents for CS2;
- the Factory New price, four times higher, is not justified by a 0.00 to 0.07 float;
- your craft needs a light body for dark stickers.
If some wear is acceptable, Field-Tested differs only slightly in price, but its float band is wider.
