The FAMAS | Palm in Factory New (FN) sits at the top of the scale for a Consumer Grade FAMAS, with the paint intact from muzzle to stock. The float band for this wear is 0.00 to 0.07, which is 9% of the finish's scale, ending at 0.75. The skin is part of The Boreal Collection, and no case contains it.
What the FAMAS | Palm looks like in Factory New
This is a camouflage with no bright spots: the body, arch and stock are painted a light olive-sand, with palm-leaf silhouettes scattered across it in tones darker and lighter. The handguard and trigger guard are paler, almost pale green. There are no sharp borders, and the pattern reads as a soft mottled background.
In Factory New the paint lies even: the leaf silhouettes are not rubbed away, and the edges of the parts do not lighten.
Where the FAMAS | Palm came from
Valve describes the finish this way: the weapon was spray-painted through cardboard stencils, a fine mesh and palm leaves. The Boreal Collection was added on March 31, 2025, together with the Ascent and Radiant sets, and the same day all three went onto the weekly reward list for playtime.
What to check before buying
In a FAMAS | Palm listing, look at the following:
- float: across 0.00 to 0.07 the difference between listings stays in the hundredths;
- the cleanliness of the paint along the edges of the arch and stock;
- the name tag and stickers this FAMAS already carries.
Every copy carries the same pattern. Between 0.00 and 0.07 the look does not change, so choosing by float number gains you almost nothing.
What the FAMAS | Palm costs in Factory New
The order of wears for this skin does not follow the wear itself:
- Minimal Wear costs about a quarter more;
- Field-Tested is about seven times cheaper;
- Well-Worn is cheaper by about a seventh;
- Battle-Scarred is cheaper by a few percent.
Factory New turns out not to be the most expensive wear, and Field-Tested is the cheapest. Clean paint here costs less than Minimal Wear, while the middle of the scale is much cheaper than both.
Among Consumer Grade FAMAS in this wear, the Palm is second from the bottom by price of six. Only FAMAS | Byproduct is lower. Above it stand FAMAS | Colony, FAMAS | Faulty Wiring, FAMAS | Night Borre and FAMAS | Contrast Spray.
Getting the FAMAS | Palm
No case holds this skin. The Boreal Collection is on Valve's Weekly Care Package reward list, so copies are handed out as drops for playtime.
A contract cannot produce the FAMAS | Palm: Consumer Grade is the collection's lowest rank, with nothing beneath it. The skin does work as an input, however: ten Consumer Grade skins from The Boreal Collection return one Industrial Grade skin, and there are nine of those.
StatTrak and Souvenir
Valve did not release a StatTrak version of the FAMAS | Palm. Souvenir copies are out there, but the finish had no packages, since those were made only for tournament map collections. Such copies are created through the Souvenir-O-Matic, which attaches gold tournament stickers and a player autograph to an ordinary skin in your inventory.
Stickers and craft on the FAMAS | Palm
The light olive ground takes stickers without a fight: the pattern is quiet and does not compete with them. Dark and saturated colors stand out most against it, while pale greens and beiges blend into the body.
Who this wear suits
Factory New is the sensible buy when:
- you want untouched paint, and Minimal Wear costs more without looking cleaner;
- the FAMAS is going into CS2 under a light sandy paint job, where a bold pattern is not needed;
- you are assembling a set from The Boreal Collection, and this model should look its best in it.
If you care about the lowest price rather than cleanliness, Field-Tested fits: it is the cheapest of the skin's five wears.
