FAMAS | Rapid Eye Movement (Minimal Wear)

The FAMAS | Rapid Eye Movement in Minimal Wear (MW) shows its eyes almost as they look on a new weapon, at about half the price of Factory New. It is a Classified skin from the Dreams & Nightmares Case, played on the Counter-Terrorist side. In CS2 it is a vivid rifle with a pink-purple body.

What the FAMAS | Rapid Eye Movement looks like in Minimal Wear

The body is split into riveted panels, and in each one a painted eye looks out. The base is raspberry-red and pink-purple, turning blue-violet at the stock and magazine. The trigger guard is pale lilac, the grip lavender-white with a brown rear, and the barrel is bare gray. Near the carry handle there is a small yellow-orange element.

Minimal Wear on this skin spans floats from 0.07 to 0.15. The wear is barely noticeable here: only the raised edges of the carry handle and the outer ring of the trigger guard show it. The eyelid outlines are holding, and the gaze of every eye stays crisp.

Where the FAMAS | Rapid Eye Movement came from

The author is Sparkwire, and his Workshop submission was titled "Rapid Eyes | D&N | FAMAS". In the description he explained the idea: the skin is based on the phase of REM sleep in which most dreams occur.

The skin was released on January 21, 2022. Valve's post about the case speaks of seventeen skins selected from the Steam Workshop for CS:GO. The skin's number in Valve's catalog is 1127.

What to check before buying

When picking a copy, pay attention to the following:

• float: at 0.07 the panel edges are cleaner, and nearer 0.15 the scuffing is more noticeable;


• stickers and a name tag already on this copy.

The FAMAS | Rapid Eye Movement has a fixed pattern, and its price does not depend on one. In this wear the band from 0.07 to 0.15 is tight, and a difference between listings is hard to catch.

What the FAMAS | Rapid Eye Movement costs in Minimal Wear

The other wears, relative to Minimal Wear:

• Factory New costs a bit more than double;


• Field-Tested is an eighth cheaper;


• Well-Worn is about a sixth cheaper;


• Battle-Scarred is almost a quarter cheaper.

The three lower wears are cheaper than Minimal Wear by no more than a quarter, while Factory New costs a bit over twice as much.

Among the seven Classified FAMAS skins, this one is the cheapest in this wear. The FAMAS | Eye of Athena costs a quarter more, the FAMAS | Djinn almost twice as much, and the FAMAS | Afterimage just under three times as much. The FAMAS | Mecha Industries and FAMAS | Meltdown cost more than four times as much.

Getting the FAMAS | Rapid Eye Movement

Among cases, the FAMAS | Rapid Eye Movement drops only from the Dreams & Nightmares Case, and it was never in Souvenir packages.

It can also come out of a contract of ten skins one rank below, taken from a single set. The skin itself works as an input for a trade-up to a Covert skin, and among the set's Classified skins it is the cheapest entry.

Stickers and craft on the FAMAS | Rapid Eye Movement

The panel-and-eye artwork is overloaded, and on the side a craft turns into noise. Black, white and acid-green stickers stand out against the raspberry field, while pink ones blend in. Stickers sit calmest on the stock and the magazine area.

Who this wear suits

Minimal Wear is a sensible buy when:

• you want a nearly clean skin with visible eyelids and no premium for Factory New;


• some scuffing on the carry handle is acceptable, but the artwork on the side has to be intact;


• a craft in CS2 needs a bright paneled base, priced below the middle of the range.
