The FAMAS | Rapid Eye Movement in Well-Worn (WW): the eye panels are visibly scuffed, and the price is one of the lowest for this skin. The rank is Classified, the case is the Dreams & Nightmares Case, and the side is Counter-Terrorist. In CS2 it is a rifle with a recognizable pattern.
What the FAMAS | Rapid Eye Movement looks like in Well-Worn
The base is a set of raspberry-red and pink-purple riveted panels with a row of painted eyes running across them. Toward the magazine and stock the color turns blue. The trigger guard is pale lilac, and the grip is lavender-white with a brown back. The barrel and muzzle stay bare gray metal, and the body carries no text.
The float band for this wear on the skin lies between 0.38 and 0.45. At this level of wear the thin dark eyelid outlines are typically thinner, and the eyes no longer look as sharp as on a clean rifle. The edges of the carry handle and the ring of the trigger guard are rubbed off. The large flat panels on the side keep the artwork longer than anything else.
Where the FAMAS | Rapid Eye Movement came from
The skin was made by Sparkwire. His Steam Workshop submission was titled "Rapid Eyes | D&N | FAMAS" and went up on October 19, 2021. He described the work as a design about fast sleep: "This is a weapon finish based on REM sleep, when most dreams occur".
Valve released the case on January 21, 2022, and called it a set of seventeen skins selected from the Workshop. The number of the FAMAS | Rapid Eye Movement in the skin catalog is 1127.
What to check before buying
When you choose a listing, these are the points that count:
- float: near the 0.38 edge the eyelid outlines are still distinct, and toward 0.45 they are thinner;
- whether the copy already wears a name tag or stickers.
The pattern never changes from copy to copy. Within 0.38 to 0.45 there is no best copy to hunt for.
What the FAMAS | Rapid Eye Movement costs in Well-Worn
The other wears, relative to Well-Worn:
- Factory New sits roughly two and a half times above it;
- Minimal Wear costs about a fifth more;
- Field-Tested costs a few percent more;
- Battle-Scarred is a few percent cheaper.
For Well-Worn the price spread among the lower wears is minimal: all four wears below Factory New fit within a quarter of the price.
Of the six Classified FAMAS skins priced in this wear, this one is the cheapest. The FAMAS | Eye of Athena costs practically the same, the FAMAS | Djinn twice as much, and the FAMAS | Afterimage nearly four times as much. The FAMAS | Mecha Industries is four and a half times higher, and the FAMAS | Waters of Nephthys seven times.
Getting the FAMAS | Rapid Eye Movement
The Dreams & Nightmares Case is the only case that drops the FAMAS | Rapid Eye Movement.
A contract that returns this FAMAS takes ten skins of the rank below, all from one collection. The skin itself is the cheapest way in among the set's Classified skins when trading up to a Covert AK-47 | Nightwish or MP9 | Starlight Protector.
StatTrak and Souvenir
A StatTrak version of the FAMAS | Rapid Eye Movement exists. There were no Souvenir packages for this skin.
Stickers and craft on the FAMAS | Rapid Eye Movement
The painted eyes take up almost the whole side, and a sticker on top of them fights the artwork. If you want a craft, large black and white stickers fit, while pink and purple ones get lost on the panels. The stock and the magazine area are free, and on worn coating a sticker looks natural there.
Who this wear suits
There is good reason to buy the FAMAS | Rapid Eye Movement in this wear if:
- you want a bright rifle with visible wear at the price of the lower wears;
- Factory New costs two and a half times as much, and you do not want to pay that premium;
- the thin eyelid outlines do not matter as long as the row of eyes reads.
