The G3SG1 | Dream Glade in Well-Worn (WW) is a Restricted automatic sniper rifle from the Dreams & Nightmares Case, with a forest pattern. Its float in this wear is 0.38 to 0.45, seven hundredths of the whole wear scale, which for this skin runs from 0.00 to 1.00.
What the G3SG1 | Dream Glade looks like in Well-Worn
Valve says the green forest at the center of the finish parts to reveal blue sky. The body and scope are covered in dark green foliage, and a bright turquoise-blue opening shows on the receiver. Small pink flecks are scattered through the foliage on the stock. Valve's tagline is "There, a clearing in the forest!".
Well-Worn is typified by clear scratches and paint scuffs. The 0.38 to 0.45 band is narrow, and the degree of wear is stored in the float and fixed at the drop, so the item does not change over time.
Where the G3SG1 | Dream Glade came from
The Dreams & Nightmares Case came out in January 2022. Valve built it from 17 Steam Workshop finishes chosen in a contest of the same name. The contest began in July 2021 and drew more than fifteen thousand submissions. Valve named seventeen winners, not the ten it first promised, and 24 authors worked on them. Dream Glade is on that list.
The finish carries Valve catalog number 1129.
What to check before buying
Worth checking before you pay for the G3SG1 | Dream Glade:
- the float within 0.38 to 0.45: the closer to the lower edge, the fewer the signs of wear;
- the name tag and stickers, which stay on the listing;
- whether it is the regular version or the counter one, since these are different items.
The pattern of the G3SG1 | Dream Glade is not drawn from a spread, because all copies are identical.
What the G3SG1 | Dream Glade costs in Well-Worn
Against Well-Worn, the other wears cost this much:
- Factory New about four and a half times as much;
- Minimal Wear about one and a half times as much;
- Field-Tested the same;
- Battle-Scarred about a ninth less.
Among Restricted G3SG1s in this wear, the skin costs more than G3SG1 | Scavenger. G3SG1 | High Seas costs about two fifths more than it, and G3SG1 | Stinger about five and a half times as much.
Getting the G3SG1 | Dream Glade
Both the regular and the counter version drop from the Dreams & Nightmares Case, and no other case holds this finish. The G3SG1 | Dream Glade also comes out of a trade-up, with ten skins one rank lower from a single collection going in. The collection holds five Restricted skins, so the odds are one in five.
StatTrak and Souvenir
The G3SG1 | Dream Glade has a StatTrak™ version. No souvenir packages were released for this finish, because those were made only for the tournament map collections. You can still build a souvenir copy yourself: the Souvenir-O-Matic puts gold tournament stickers and a player autograph on a regular skin from your inventory. That is why a stray souvenir copy occasionally turns up even where no packages ever existed.
Stickers and craft on the G3SG1 | Dream Glade
Dark foliage with a bright blue opening takes light and pink stickers, while green and dark ones get lost on it. The blue opening on the receiver works as an accent for a CS2 craft, and it would be a pity to cover it.
Who this wear suits
Buying the G3SG1 | Dream Glade in Well-Worn is reasonable when:
- you want an auto sniper rifle for CS2 with a forest pattern and do not want to pay four and a half times more for Factory New;
- a price level with Field-Tested matters, since the two wears cost almost the same;
- you want wear stronger than in Minimal Wear without paying the extra one and a half times.
Only Battle-Scarred is cheaper, and the difference to it is about a ninth of the price.
