This is the Galil AR | Chromatic Aberration in Well-Worn (WW), a float band of 0.38 to 0.45. Its rank is Classified and its collection The Snakebite Collection. In CS2 it is a Galil that still keeps its neon colors when Well-Worn.
What the Galil AR | Chromatic Aberration looks like in Well-Worn
The base is black, and only a few areas carry color. The receiver cover has neon pink stripes, the magazine has blue and pink lines with an arrow, and the white numerals on the stock resemble a serial number. The doubled look comes from the paints lying with a shift, as Valve's description puts it, and the item's caption reads "(Not so) easy on the eye".
In Well-Worn, light scuffs run along the edges and the handguard, but the pink stripes and the neon lines on the magazine keep their brightness. The black base shows through the artwork only in spots, and the numerals on the stock stay legible.
Where the Galil AR | Chromatic Aberration came from
The rifle appeared on May 4, 2021, together with The Snakebite Collection. It sits in the Snakebite Case, which gathers 17 community finishes and, as rare special items, the Broken Fang Gloves. The reference gives no author for the finish.
What to check before buying
In a listing, check these parameters:
- float: the band from 0.38 to 0.45 is narrow, so there is nothing to choose by the number;
- pattern: it is fixed and does not depend on the copy;
- the name tag and stickers already on the rifle, which go with the lot.
What the Galil AR | Chromatic Aberration costs in Well-Worn
Factory New costs 4.4 times as much, Minimal Wear 1.8 times, and Field-Tested a tenth more. Battle-Scarred is cheaper by only a twelfth.
In the row of Classified Galils this is the cheapest of four skins: Eco costs three times as much, and Sugar Rush more than fifteen times.
Getting the Galil AR | Chromatic Aberration
The Snakebite Case is the main route. In a trade-up, ten Restricted skins go in and the result comes from the collection of one of the inputs. A ten from The Snakebite Collection narrows the outcome to this one.
StatTrak and Souvenir
A StatTrak version of the Galil AR | Chromatic Aberration exists, while the finish has never come in Souvenir packages.
Stickers and craft on the Galil AR | Chromatic Aberration
The scuffed black base gives stickers contrast. White stickers and silver ones look best, while busy ones fight the color offset the finish is designed around.
Who this wear suits
A Well-Worn Galil AR | Chromatic Aberration makes sense when:
- you want an inexpensive, bright Galil;
- the black body with neon lines still appeals to you when scuffed;
- Battle-Scarred is too worn for you and Field-Tested costs more.
