This is the Galil AR | Cold Fusion in Field-Tested (FT), and copies like this cost less than all their neighbors in the rank. It is an Industrial Grade skin from the 2018 Nuke Collection. There is no regular case: copies drop from tournament souvenir packages, starting with the London 2018 Nuke Souvenir Package.
What the Galil AR | Cold Fusion looks like in Field-Tested
The rifle wears teal-green paint with dark spots that look like peeling paint. The base is a muted mint-teal, and the spots are dark gray and blue-green. Teal covers the barrel, gas tube, receiver, magazine and stock, while the forend, grip and trigger guard stay dark gray.
The spots are ragged and unevenly spread, and in places they gather into streaks along the parts. Valve's description calls the paint a toxic pale-blue hydrographic, and that fits the skin: cold, with a dense pattern of dark blotches.
Where the Galil AR | Cold Fusion came from
The 2018 Nuke Collection came out in September 2018, and the skin has been in the set since its release. Valve's description ends with the line "Hypotheses are never proven".
What to check before buying
- float: the 0.15 to 0.38 band leaves room to choose, and the Galil is cleaner at the lower edge;
- whether the skin carries stickers and a name tag;
- Souvenir or regular copy: the skin has a Souvenir version but no StatTrak.
There is no choosing the Galil AR | Cold Fusion by pattern at all.
What the Galil AR | Cold Fusion costs in Field-Tested
Factory New costs a little over one and a half times as much, and Minimal Wear about a third more. Well-Worn costs a few percent more, and Battle-Scarred is level.
Among the nine Industrial Grade skins, this Galil at Field-Tested is at the very bottom: nobody is cheaper and eight cost more. The closest are Green Apple, Robin's Egg, NV, Acid Dart and O-Ranger, all at practically the same price. VariCamo is slightly higher, Urban Rubble costs about twenty times more, and Winter Forest, at the top of the row, is tens of times higher still.
Getting the Galil AR | Cold Fusion
A trade-up for the Galil AR | Cold Fusion needs ten skins one rank lower from this set. The other source is the Nuke tournament souvenir packages, from London 2018 to Budapest 2025.
StatTrak and Souvenir
The skin has no StatTrak version, but a Souvenir version exists.
Stickers and craft on the Galil AR | Cold Fusion
The spots are dense, and small stickers get lost in them. Large or light ones work better: white and yellow read on the teal, while black merges with the dark spots. The forend and grip are dark gray, so a sticker shows up well there.
Who this wear suits
Buying the Galil AR | Cold Fusion in Field-Tested is reasonable when at least one of these fits:
- you want a CS2 Galil with a cold teal body at the lowest price;
- you need a Souvenir version: the skin has copies from the Nuke tournament packages;
- you want to pick a copy near the lower edge of the 0.15 to 0.38 band.
