For the Galil AR | Eco, Field-Tested (FT) is the working middle: the white field has been touched, while the green parts hold their color. In this wear the Galil AR | Eco covers the 0.15 to 0.38 band. It is of Classified rank, and the finish came into the game with the Chroma 2 Case.
What the Galil AR | Eco looks like in Field-Tested
The base of the finish is white with light gray, and the magazine, part of the handguard, the ring at the muzzle and the stock pads are green. The green is bright and grassy. The white field takes up the receiver and the top of the handguard, while the green elements run along the bottom and the edges. The eco lettering appears in two places, on the receiver and on the stock; the barrel is green and the sights are white. Small light marks are scattered over the receiver.
The white base grays first: the edge of the handguard and the top of the receiver dull, and the green pads fade after them. The eco lettering stays readable, and the green magazine is barely touched by wear. Pick the Galil AR | Eco by its number, not by the wear label, because the 0.15 to 0.38 band is wide.
Where the Galil AR | Eco came from
The finish was drawn by an artist who goes by LoveCroissant. The Chroma 2 Collection opened in the game on April 15, 2015. In the Valve catalog the finish carries the number 428.
What to check before buying
What separates one Galil AR | Eco from another comes down to this:
- float: at 0.15 the white field is almost even, and toward 0.38 gray spreads across the flat surfaces;
- the state of the handguard edge, since the pale plastic gives way before the green pads;
- an applied name and stickers, if they already sit on this Galil AR | Eco.
The pattern on the Galil AR | Eco is fixed, so price does not depend on pattern.
What the Galil AR | Eco costs in Field-Tested
The finish has no Factory New at all: the scale starts at 0.10. Minimal Wear gets the 0.10 to 0.15 band, which explains the spread:
- Minimal Wear costs more than six times as much;
- Well-Worn costs the same;
- Battle-Scarred costs about a seventh less.
The premium for the cleaner wear rests on a short band, not on looks: no eye can catch the difference between 0.15 and 0.14. The two worn wears cost close to Field-Tested, so there is little to save on them.
Among the four Classified Galils in this wear, the Galil AR | Eco is second from the bottom. Only the Galil AR | Chromatic Aberration is cheaper, and the gap there is more than threefold. The top of the rank belongs to the Galil AR | Sugar Rush, which costs three and a half times as much.
Getting the Galil AR | Eco
The first route is the Chroma 2 Case, since no other case received this finish.
A trade-up contract gets you the Galil AR | Eco too: ten skins one rank lower, from the same collection.
StatTrak and Souvenir
The Galil AR | Eco has a StatTrak version. Souvenir copies of the finish exist as well, though no packages were issued for it, since those were made only for tournament map collections. Such copies are built through the Souvenir-O-Matic, which puts golden tournament stickers and a player autograph on an ordinary skin from your inventory.
Stickers and craft on the Galil AR | Eco
The white field of the receiver is the freest spot for a craft, but the background is demanding: pale stickers vanish on it. Dark, saturated stickers read best, while green ones merge with the pads and the eco lettering. On the worn edge of the handguard part of a sticker is lost along with the paint, so put the mark on a flat surface.
Who this wear suits
Buying the Galil AR | Eco in this exact wear makes sense when:
- you want a white-and-green rifle for CS2 without a sixfold surcharge for a clean field;
- choosing by float matters to you, since the spread inside the band is noticeable;
- the skin is going into play, not into a display case.
Closer to 0.15 the white field is almost even, and near the upper limit the gray is visible even in the preview. The green elements hold across the whole band, so the finish keeps its recognizability.
