Field-Tested (FT) is the most worn of the three conditions the Galil AR | Green Apple comes in, and also the dearest. Float runs from 0.15 to 0.30: the finish is capped there, while the grade normally reaches 0.38. Truly beaten copies do not exist, and Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred were never made. The rank is Industrial Grade, and the skin arrived with The Train 2025 Collection.
What the Galil AR | Green Apple looks like in Field-Tested
Acid green paint covers the metal: receiver, dust cover, top rail, rear sight, charging handle, gas block and barrel. Plastic is left alone, so the handguard, magazine, grip and stock stay gray — factory plastic, not a black coat. There is no gradient and no artwork; the green is one shade everywhere.
A flat color shows wear more honestly than any pattern, and here it runs along every edge. The rail teeth, the sight ears, the charging handle and the lip of the dust cover go gray outright. The ring around the barrel is rubbed through. Receiver flats keep their green, since paint on an open surface holds longest. A copy at 0.16 and one near the cap look clearly different.
Where the Galil AR | Green Apple came from
Valve drew the finish in house; no Steam Workshop artist stands behind it, and no submission is on record. Valve numbers the finish 294. The Train 2025 Collection shipped on March 31, 2025 with no release note of its own, only a line in the changelog. The item description carries a joke about an apple and insurance premiums.
What to check before buying
What to read on a Galil AR | Green Apple listing:
- the float, since between 0.15 and 0.30 the rifle goes from almost clean to gray along every edge;
- stickers and a name tag from the previous owner;
- normal copy or Souvenir, as the Souvenir is priced on its own.
The artwork is identical on every copy, so hunting for a lucky pattern is pointless.
What the Galil AR | Green Apple costs in Field-Tested
The usual order is reversed here, and Field-Tested asks more than either cleaner grade:
- Factory New costs about a third less;
- Minimal Wear about a quarter less.
Inside the rank the picture turns over. Nine Industrial Grade Galil AR finishes carry a price in this condition, and Green Apple is seventh of the nine going up. Only Galil AR | Urban Rubble and Galil AR | Winter Forest stand above it. Cold Fusion and VariCamo sit below it; Acid Dart and Robin's Egg are cheaper by several times.
Getting the Galil AR | Green Apple
Valve never put the finish in a case. Normal copies came as playtime rewards, Souvenir ones went to viewers of the 2025 Austin Major, and the collection left the Armory on July 8, 2026.
A trade-up only moves upward, and Industrial Grade is the bottom rank of that set, so the finish cannot be crafted. The reverse works: the high floats live in this grade alone, so it is the one to feed into a contract for a Mil-Spec skin.
StatTrak and Souvenir
No StatTrak version of the Galil AR | Green Apple was ever released; a Souvenir edition does exist.
Stickers and craft on the Galil AR | Green Apple
The edges are gray by now, so a tidy craft on this base looks out of place. Cheap stickers make more sense, and they cover the rubbed spots on the dust cover and rail. White and black read best on green metal; green stickers disappear into the fill.
Who this wear suits
Buying the Galil AR | Green Apple in Field-Tested is reasonable when:
- a float above 0.15 is needed, and no other grade of this finish offers one;
- a listing turns up carrying stickers worth having;
- all three conditions are being collected at once.
For play in CS2 the grade is a hard sell: Factory New on this Galil is cleaner and cheaper at once. The premium here does not buy looks.
