Galil AR | Grey Smoke (Minimal Wear)

The Galil AR | Grey Smoke in Minimal Wear (MW) is a Terrorist-side Galil in CS2 with a smoky graphite pattern, where wear is only beginning. The skin is Consumer Grade and part of The Ascent Collection. It is not found in cases.

What the Galil AR | Grey Smoke looks like in Minimal Wear

Smoky swirls cover the handguard and receiver: dark patches and pale streaks lie on a graphite background, with no colored accents. The magazine and stock are black, and the grip is a brownish gray. Valve explains the gray palette with a joke in the description: "Do you know how much color cartridges cost?!"

This wear of the Galil AR | Grey Smoke runs from 0.07 to 0.15. That is 13% of the skin's own range, which ends at 0.60. Wear is limited to light scuffs here, and the smoky pattern reads along the whole length of the rifle. The condition is fixed at the drop and does not change afterward.

Where the Galil AR | Grey Smoke came from

Valve designed this one in-house, and the Steam Workshop never received a submission for the finish. It came out in March 2025 with The Ascent Collection and carries number 1275 in Valve's catalog.

What to check before buying

Before paying for a Galil AR | Grey Smoke, it is useful to check:

• the float: it must lie between 0.07 and 0.15, or the listing belongs to a different wear;

• the name tag and stickers this Galil AR | Grey Smoke already carries.

The 0.07 to 0.15 stretch is short, and the differences between listings disappear into the noise.

What the Galil AR | Grey Smoke costs in Minimal Wear

The skin's other wears relate to Minimal Wear like this:

• Factory New: cheaper by more than a factor of three;

• Field-Tested: about 1.5 times more expensive;

• Well-Worn: the same;

• Battle-Scarred: cheaper by more than a factor of four.

The wear level does not fix the price here: Factory New comes in under the two middle wears. Among the four Consumer Grade Galil ARs, this is the cheapest skin in this wear. Galil AR | Sage Spray, Galil AR | Hunting Blind and Galil AR | Tornado all cost more, and Tornado by tens of times.

Getting the Galil AR | Grey Smoke

No CS2 case contains the Galil AR | Grey Smoke. The Ascent Collection is part of the weekly reward for playtime.

A trade-up contract cannot build it, because nothing in the collection sits below Consumer Grade. As a contract input the skin works well: ten Consumer Grade skins from The Ascent Collection give one of nine Industrial Grade skins.

StatTrak and Souvenir

There has been no StatTrak release of the Galil AR | Grey Smoke. Souvenir examples can be found, yet this finish never had Souvenir packages, because those were reserved for the tournament map collections. A copy is made in the Souvenir-O-Matic: it adds gold tournament stickers and a player autograph to a regular skin already in your inventory.

Stickers and craft on the Galil AR | Grey Smoke

The graphite background is low in contrast, so light and colored stickers read at once on the handguard and receiver. Black stickers get lost, since the magazine and stock beside them are black too.

Who this wear suits

The Galil AR | Grey Smoke in Minimal Wear is a buy if at least one of these fits:

• you want a gray rifle for CS2 where only the stickers create a color accent;

• you want a wear where the pattern is hardly touched by wear;

• you are putting together a dark set in which the rifle should not stand out.
