The Glock-18 | Gold Toof in Field-Tested (FT) is the cheapest version of the finish: the other four wears cost more. The float scale for the Glock-18 | Gold Toof in this wear runs from 0.15 to 0.38. It is a Covert skin, and the Gallery Case drops it.
What the Glock-18 | Gold Toof looks like in Field-Tested
The frame is saturated purple with a metallic sheen, and the slide is dark graphite gray. A drawing of a mouth fills the whole side of the slide, from the front cut to the ejection port: white teeth, pink gums and one gold tooth. Gold also colors the trigger, the two round openings at the front of the slide and the small screws on the frame. The frame itself is painted solid, with no pattern, and the base of the magazine is left dark gray. The teeth are drawn one by one, with gaps between them, and a light patch sits near the rear edge of the slide.
In Field-Tested the purple frame gives way along its raised edges. The front cut, the guards and the bottom of the grip lose their sheen and fade to a matte gray-pink. On the dark slide, wear shows along the outline of the mouth. The thumb serrations and the knurled texture on the frame stay intact, though, and up close the Glock looks like a working piece.
What to check before buying
What sets Glock-18 | Gold Toof listings apart:
- within 0.15 to 0.38 the Glock-18 | Gold Toof changes visibly, so the listing is chosen by its number;
- the sheen on the frame: near the lower edge the purple is still metallic, near the upper edge it is matte on every raised spot;
- what a previous owner left on the Glock-18 | Gold Toof: stickers and an applied name tag.
There are no pattern variants on the Glock-18 | Gold Toof, so there is nothing to choose by there. The mouth and the gold details are the same on every copy, and the whole choice comes down to the float.
What the Glock-18 | Gold Toof costs in Field-Tested
This is the lowest-priced wear of the finish. Factory New costs almost five times more, Minimal Wear about a sixth more, Well-Worn about an eighth more, and Battle-Scarred about a twentieth more.
In other words, from Field-Tested upward the price climbs in small steps, and only the factory wear stands out from them. The float scale for this finish ends early: Battle-Scarred gets the band 0.45 to 0.73, and beyond that no copies exist.
Among Covert Glocks, the Glock-18 | Gold Toof is the cheapest of eleven. Closest to it is Glock-18 | Neo-Noir. Next come Glock-18 | Bullet Queen and Glock-18 | Gamma Doppler Phase 3, and the top of the rank is held by Glock-18 | Gamma Doppler Emerald.
Getting the Glock-18 | Gold Toof
The Glock-18 | Gold Toof drops from the Gallery Case, and no other case has this finish. The Gallery Collection, where the Glock-18 | Gold Toof comes from, came out on October 2, 2024. In Valve's note on that update, the case is listed alongside three new weapon collections, two charm sets and two sticker sets.
Trade-ups work for the Glock-18 | Gold Toof too: ten skins one rank lower, all from the one collection. The set has two Covert finishes, so the chance of pulling the one you want is one in two. The reverse works as well: five Covert skins from a single collection give a random rare special item, and this set has exactly one rare special item.
StatTrak and Souvenir
Stickers and craft on the Glock-18 | Gold Toof
The Glock-18 | Gold Toof has a StatTrak version. No Souvenir packages were released for this finish, since those were made only for tournament map collections. But you can assemble a Souvenir copy yourself: the Souvenir-O-Matic puts gold tournament stickers and a player autograph on an ordinary skin from the inventory. That is why a few Souvenir copies turn up from time to time even where there never were any packages.
The side of the slide is covered by the mouth in full, and a sticker there would land right on the teeth. There is little free field on the pistol: the back of the frame and the pad above the trigger guard are what remain. Purple with gold takes warm colors, while blue and green stickers next to the pink gums look out of place. A large sticker on the edge of the slide would land in the worn zone, and its edge would be lost against the gray metal.
Who this wear suits
Field-Tested is worth buying on the Glock-18 | Gold Toof when:
- you want a way into the Covert rank on this model at the lowest price;
- the mouth and the gold tooth matter more than an untouched sheen on the frame;
- the Glock is headed into CS2 matches, not into a display.
The extra cost of Minimal Wear is small here, so it is worth looking at both wears together.
