The Glock-18 | Neo-Noir in Field-Tested (FT) is the middle of the finish's wear scale, where the line art has been touched by wear but still reads as a whole. The float scale of this wear runs between 0.15 and 0.38. It is a Covert skin, the Terrorist-side pistol, from The Operation Broken Fang Collection.
What the Glock-18 | Neo-Noir looks like in Field-Tested
The finish is built on a stylized portrait of a woman in black-and-white graphics, overlaid with magenta and light-blue neon. Valve describes it as a blue-and-purple woman on a gray background. The slide is dark graphite-brown, and a fine line of red lettering runs along its front. On the frame and grip the lines turn lighter, and the grip gains light-blue circles with red dots.
In Field-Tested the slide picks up edge wear and the pale lines on the frame turn cloudy, yet pink and light blue remain the leading colors. The woman's figure is still distinguishable, though the background graphics are no longer as crisp.
A span of 0.15 to 0.38 is long, and copies from the extremes differ visibly. It makes up 23% of the finish's scale, which stretches to 1.00.
What to check before buying
These points matter on a listing of the Glock-18 | Neo-Noir:
- float: near the low end of the band the pale lines are cleaner, near the high end the wear is more visible;
- the slide edges and the trigger guard, where wear shows first;
- name tag and stickers already on this Glock-18 | Neo-Noir.
The pattern index makes no difference on the Glock-18 | Neo-Noir.
What the Glock-18 | Neo-Noir costs in Field-Tested
The other wears stand like this against it:
- Factory New is a little over four times pricier;
- Minimal Wear is about two fifths pricier;
- Well-Worn is about a seventh cheaper;
- Battle-Scarred is about a fifth cheaper.
Among Covert Glock-18 skins in this wear, the Neo-Noir is second from the bottom: only Glock-18 | Gold Toof is cheaper. Fully Tuned and Bullet Queen cost about one and a half times as much, and Gamma Doppler (Phase 3 and Phase 4) nearly twice. The top of the row belongs to Gamma Doppler (Emerald), Ghost Protocol and Wasteland Rebel.
Getting the Glock-18 | Neo-Noir
The Glock-18 | Neo-Noir drops from the Operation Broken Fang Case, and no other CS2 case holds this finish. The Operation Broken Fang Collection came out on December 3, 2020, and the skin has been in the set from the start. Valve introduced the operation itself the same day.
In a trade-up, ten skins of the rank below from this collection turn into a Glock-18 | Neo-Noir. The chance is one in two: the collection holds two Covert skins, and the other is M4A1-S | Printstream. There is no ordinary contract above Covert, and the only way onward is crafting gloves.
StatTrak and Souvenir
The Glock-18 | Neo-Noir has a StatTrak version. Souvenir packages for this finish never existed, since only tournament map collections got them. A souvenir copy is still within reach: the Souvenir-O-Matic fits gold tournament stickers and a player autograph onto a normal inventory skin. So a stray souvenir copy appears now and then even where no packages were ever made.
Stickers and craft on the Glock-18 | Neo-Noir
The finish is vivid, and stickers in pink and light-blue tones merge with the artwork. White and black ones read on their own, and the calmest spot for a sticker is the dark front of the slide, where there is the least graphics.
Every copy has the same artwork, so a craft on this Glock is built around sticker color rather than pattern.
Who this wear suits
The Glock-18 | Neo-Noir in this wear is worth buying if:
- you want a Covert Glock that costs less than almost every other Covert Glock-18;
- a vivid design matters and perfect cleanliness does not;
- in CS2 you need a pistol for the Terrorist side that stands out in first-person view.
If clean black-and-white graphics matter to you, look higher: Minimal Wear costs about two fifths more.
