Description

The Glock-18 | Ocean Topo in Battle-Scarred (BS) is the most scuffed version of the blue Glock with contour lines. The skin is Industrial Grade and belongs to The Ascent Collection. The float of this wear runs from 0.45 to 0.60: the skin tops out at 0.60, and BS takes a quarter of the range.

What the Glock-18 | Ocean Topo looks like in Battle-Scarred

The base is a saturated blue, darker in places, down to deep indigo. Closed lines run across it like contour lines on a map, over the slide, frame and grip without gaps. The lines differ from the base only in shade, and the pistol reads as one blue. The muzzle and the plate on the bottom of the magazine stay bare metal, and the front sight is black.

In this wear the slide edge and the raised parts of the grip lighten first, and the lines there merge into plain blue. The rings on the flat side of the frame hold up better. The scuffing is noticeable on the deep blue, but the pattern under it does not vanish.

Where the Glock-18 | Ocean Topo came from

The author of this finish is Valve itself, and the Steam Workshop had nothing to do with it. The Glock-18 | Ocean Topo appeared in March 2025 with The Ascent Collection. Its number in Valve's catalog is 1265. The pattern is applied by hydrographics, meaning a film carrying the design, not paint through a stencil. The item description carries a short quip from Valve.

What to check before buying

On a Glock-18 | Ocean Topo listing, check these parameters:

  • a name tag and stickers, which stay with the listing on the Glock-18 | Ocean Topo;

  • float: the BS band ends at 0.60, the ceiling of the skin's whole scale;

  • the slide edge and the raised parts of the grip, where wear is most visible.

In this wear the Glock-18 | Ocean Topo has a tight band, 0.45 to 0.60, where the difference between listings is hard to catch. The pattern, though, differs between copies.

Pattern variance on the Glock-18 | Ocean Topo

The pattern is a draw: the film is laid on with an offset, so the contour rings land in different places on different copies. Listings with the same float look different, and they are best compared by preview.

What the Glock-18 | Ocean Topo costs in Battle-Scarred

Together with Factory New, Battle-Scarred is the most expensive wear of the skin. Measured against it:

  • Factory New costs the same, with a difference of under 3%;

  • Minimal Wear is about one and a half times cheaper;

  • Field-Tested is almost three times cheaper;

  • Well-Worn is almost twice as cheap.

Among Industrial Grade Glocks, BS puts the skin second from the bottom: only Glock-18 | Death Rattle is cheaper, by a third. Glock-18 | Night costs five times as much, Glock-18 | Red Tire ten times. Glock-18 | Sand Dune costs thirty times as much and Glock-18 | Groundwater almost sixty.

Getting the Glock-18 | Ocean Topo

No case holds this finish. The Ascent Collection is on the reward list of the weekly care package, and the pistol comes from there. To trade up into the Glock-18 | Ocean Topo you need ten skins one rank lower from this set.

StatTrak and Souvenir

The Glock-18 | Ocean Topo was not released with StatTrak. Souvenir copies can be found, but there were no souvenir packages for this finish, because those were issued only for tournament map collections. Such copies are put together through the Souvenir-O-Matic, which attaches gold tournament stickers and a player autograph to a regular inventory skin.

Stickers and craft on the Glock-18 | Ocean Topo

The slide is covered in lines from the front to the rear sight, so a sticker lands right on the pattern. White and orange stickers show over the contour lines, while cold blue ones are lost in them.

Who this wear suits

Buying the Glock-18 | Ocean Topo in this wear is worth it if:

  • you want a blue Glock for CS2 with the heaviest wear;

  • you pick the pattern by preview, and the float number inside the narrow band of 0.45 to 0.60 changes nothing;

  • the scuffed look is what you want, and Factory New costs no less.

The pattern stays readable on a worn copy, and in CS2 the way the rings sit is judged in the preview.
