Description

The Glock-18 | Ocean Topo in Factory New: blue contour lines on the slide and frame read in full, and the edges have not yet lightened. In this wear the float stays between 0.00 and 0.07. The skin is Industrial Grade, and the finish arrived with The Ascent Collection.

What the Glock-18 | Ocean Topo looks like in Factory New

The base is a saturated blue, shading in places to dark blue. The lines are slightly lighter and darker than the base but in the same family of shades, so the whole pistol reads as one color. Closed contour lines run across the slide, frame and grip without a break, following the shape of the parts. The density of the pattern is the same everywhere. The barrel and the rear sight are left as light metal.

The lines form elongated rings, like those on a depth chart, and on the grip they cross the factory checkering. In Factory New (FN) the blue lies evenly over the whole area. The slide edge and the raised parts of the grip have not lightened yet, so the rings are closed there too. On worn copies the pattern in those places merges into plain blue, and that is usually how the wear is judged.

Where the Glock-18 | Ocean Topo came from

The Steam Workshop has nothing to do with the Glock-18 | Ocean Topo: the artwork is Valve's. In the finish catalog it stands at number 1265. The finish is hydrographic: a film with the pattern is transferred to the body, not applied as paint through a stencil. The collection with this skin came out on March 31, 2025, and the set never got a case of its own.

What to check before buying

When buying a Glock-18 | Ocean Topo, check the following:

  • there is almost nothing to choose between on float, since the range of 0.00 to 0.07 is short;

  • how the lines landed: hydrographic film is transferred with an offset, and the pattern sits differently on each copy;

  • stickers from a previous owner and a rename on the Glock-18 | Ocean Topo.

Pattern variance is confirmed for this finish, and after float it is the second reason to compare listings. Two copies with the same number give different previews: the rings on the slide are not in the same place.

What the Glock-18 | Ocean Topo costs in Factory New

The gaps between wears are small money here, and they follow no rule. Minimal Wear costs about half as much, Well-Worn two and a half times less, and Field-Tested almost four times less. Battle-Scarred, though, is only about an eighth cheaper, even though it sits at the other end of the scale.

Among Industrial Grade Glocks, the Glock-18 | Ocean Topo ranks fifth in price out of six. Only Glock-18 | High Beam is cheaper, while Glock-18 | Red Tire, Glock-18 | Night and Glock-18 | Sand Dune cost noticeably more.

Getting the Glock-18 | Ocean Topo

No CS2 case contains the Glock-18 | Ocean Topo. Copies are handed out as a weekly reward for time played.

A trade-up contract produces it too: ten skins one rank lower, from the same collection. The set has nine Industrial Grade finishes, so the chance of pulling a specific one is one in nine.

StatTrak and Souvenir

The Glock-18 | Ocean Topo has no StatTrak version. A Souvenir version does exist, although no souvenir packages were ever made for this finish; they were reserved for tournament map collections. These copies come out of the Souvenir-O-Matic, which applies gold tournament stickers and a player autograph to a regular skin from the inventory.

Stickers and craft on the Glock-18 | Ocean Topo

There is no even field on the slide: the lines run unbroken from the front of the slide to the rear sight. The light metal of the barrel does not help either, since the area there is narrow. That leaves the side of the frame above the trigger guard, where the contour lines are largest. Cold stickers in the blue range get lost, while white and orange ones read over the lines. Any sticker in this wear covers part of the untouched pattern, and untouched pattern is what you pay for in Factory New.

Who this wear suits

Buying the Glock-18 | Ocean Topo here, in Factory New, makes sense under these conditions:

  • you want an even blue with no lightened edges;

  • the way the lines sit matters more than the number, since in this wear copies differ in pattern;

  • you are taking the Glock into your CS2 inventory for close inspection.

From a distance the topography cannot be made out in any wear: it works in the preview and on inspection.
