The Glock-18 | Trace Lock is shown here in Field-Tested (FT). On a light Glock, wear shows sooner than on dark finishes, and toward the top of the band the thin lines of the artwork start to break up. The float band is 0.15 to 0.38. Restricted rank; the skin came with The Achroma Collection, which has no case of its own.
What the Glock-18 | Trace Lock looks like in Field-Tested
The palette is almost monochrome: a white and pale gray base with a pearlescent sheen, crossed by gray-black lines. They spread in circles from two centers on the slide and carry on across the frame and grip, where they pack into a dense zebra pattern. Both the slide and the whole frame are painted, and there is no lettering in the artwork. Tiny colored dots, one red and one blue, are hidden on the slide: up close, they supply all the color.
In Field-Tested the light base works against the owner, because dirt shows on it early. The slide's edge and the protrusions of the grip turn gray first, and the thin lines break there. The circles on the flat of the slide stay intact, so the artwork still reads in full. Search for the Glock-18 | Trace Lock by the number, not by the wear label: the 0.15 to 0.38 band is wide.
Where the Glock-18 | Trace Lock came from
The paint is in-house: Valve drew it, and there is no Workshop submission behind it. The Achroma Collection arrived in the game on January 21, 2026. In that day's post, Valve listed Achroma and a second collection among the weekly drops. Valve's catalog number for the skin is 1357.
What to check before buying
Choosing a particular Glock-18 | Trace Lock comes down to these points:
- the float: at 0.15 the lines are intact along the whole grip, at 0.38 they are broken on the protrusions;
- the pattern placement: the pattern index shifts the circles, so the centers sit differently on different copies;
- what the previous owner left on the Glock-18 | Trace Lock: stickers and an applied name.
The paint does have pattern variance, and after the float it is the main reason to compare listings. The source names no rare variants, so there is no particular pattern number to hunt for here. You look at where the circle centers landed and how the zebra lies on the grip.
What the Glock-18 | Trace Lock costs in Field-Tested
The steps between wears are uneven:
- Factory New is about six times dearer;
- Minimal Wear costs about twice as much;
- Well-Worn sits level with this wear, the difference under three percent;
- Battle-Scarred is about a seventh cheaper.
Field-Tested and Well-Worn are priced the same on this paint, and the order between them rests on a few cents. The whole premium is collected at the top, in factory condition.
Among Restricted Glocks in this wear, the Trace Lock is fifth from the bottom of sixteen. The nearest one above, Glock-18 | Weasel, costs about a third more; below come Glock-18 | Moonrise and Glock-18 | Block-18. The expensive end of the rank is out of reach: Glock-18 | Franklin costs tens of times more, and Glock-18 | Synth Leaf hundreds of times more.
Getting the Glock-18 | Trace Lock
The Glock-18 | Trace Lock is not in any CS2 case. Achroma is handed out in weekly packages for time played, so the Glock arrives as a drop.
The second route is a trade-up: ten skins one rank down from the same collection.
StatTrak and Souvenir
Stickers and craft on the Glock-18 | Trace Lock
There is no StatTrak version of the Glock-18 | Trace Lock. Souvenir copies do exist, but there were never Souvenir packages for this skin: those were made only for tournament map collections. Such copies are built through the Souvenir-O-Matic, which puts gold tournament stickers and a player's autograph on an ordinary skin from the inventory.
The light base is a calm background for a craft: a sticker of any color reads on it, and dark stickers give sharp contrast. The artwork itself gets in the way: there are many circles on the slide, and a small sticker gets lost among them. There is a flat spot on the side of the slide under the ejection port. White stickers merge with the base on this paint and vanish.
Who this wear suits
Buying the Glock-18 | Trace Lock in Field-Tested makes sense if:
- you want a light Glock for CS2 at an entry-level price;
- you want to choose the pattern placement without overpaying for clean edges;
- the pistol is going into play, not onto a display shelf.
The wear is weak for close inspection: every scuff shows on white, and at 0.38 the zebra on the grip is already ragged.
