M249 | Submerged (Factory New)

The M249 | Submerged in Factory New (FN) is a CS2 light machine gun in turquoise camouflage, of Consumer Grade rank. The finish has no case: it belongs to The Anubis Collection. Copies come from that collection's package and from tournament Souvenir packages for the Anubis map. This wear spans 0.02 to 0.07, which is 6% of the skin's scale.

What the M249 | Submerged looks like in Factory New

The receiver, handguard and stock are filled with turquoise green in a fine wavy texture, like ripples on water. The barrel, rails and ammo box are kept in copper brown, and the box ends up as the largest even detail. Valve calls the finish a turquoise desert camouflage.

In Factory New the turquoise lies on the metal with no scuffs. Wear takes the ribs of the handguard and the edges of the receiver first, where turquoise gives way to bare metal. None of that is here yet, and the ripple reads in full.

Where the M249 | Submerged came from

In the April 2023 update Valve introduced The Anubis Collection: 19 weapon finishes inspired by the new map in the Active Duty pool. Submerged is part of it. Souvenir packages with this finish were released for Paris 2023, Copenhagen 2024, Shanghai 2024 and Austin 2025.

What to check before buying

Before buying the M249 | Submerged, a few points are worth checking:

• float: Factory New starts at 0.02, since the finish's scale is cut off at the bottom and 0.00 does not drop here;


• name tag and stickers, which stay on the listing of the M249 | Submerged;


• Souvenir stickers: on copies from tournament packages, gold stickers sit on the item from its release.

Getting the M249 | Submerged

The main route is the packages of The Anubis Collection and the tournament Souvenir packages. A contract cannot produce the M249 | Submerged, because Consumer Grade is the lowest rank of the collection. As an input, though, the skin leads to one of four Industrial Grade finishes from the same collection.

StatTrak and Souvenir

No StatTrak version of the M249 | Submerged was released. Souvenir copies came out in the Anubis tournament packages, and they can also be put together through the Souvenir-O-Matic.

Stickers and craft on the M249 | Submerged

The turquoise surface with its fine ripple takes stickers without loss. Light and yellow ones read best on it, while dark green ones blend into the paint. The ammo box is the widest flat surface of the machine gun, so a large craft is easier to place there.
