Minimal Wear (MW) is a Covert M4A1-S | Cyrex from The Breakout Collection whose price hardly depends on wear. In this wear the float runs 0.07–0.15, and the skin's scale ends at 0.50.
What the M4A1-S | Cyrex looks like in Minimal Wear
Valve calls the design high-tech, in black, white and red. Black dominates: the receiver, the ribbed handguard, the stock. Red is laid in blocks: the sleeve at the suppressor base, the outlines around the ejection port, the lower magazine and the heel of the grip.
White appears as fine markings on the suppressor, an insert on the side of the receiver and the top of the magazine.
Wear in Minimal Wear is slight, and the design rests on the contrast of colored blocks against black. The skin in this wear is a tight 0.07–0.15 strip, where a difference between listings is hard to catch.

What to check before buying
What changes from one M4A1-S | Cyrex listing to another:
- Float: within 0.07–0.15 the number only refines the wear label;
- The white insert on the side of the receiver and the top of the magazine;
- Stickers and a name tag already sitting on this copy.
Pattern index makes no difference here.
What the M4A1-S | Cyrex costs in Minimal Wear
The prices of the wears are squeezed into a narrow corridor:
- Factory New costs 1.07 times more;
- Field-Tested and Well-Worn cost the same;
- Battle-Scarred costs 1.03 times more.
Less than ten percent separates the cheapest wear from the most expensive. Among the eleven Covert M4A1-S skins, this one in Minimal Wear costs more than six of them and less than four. Above it are the M4A1-S | Printstream, the M4A1-S | Fade and the two most expensive Covert skins of the model. Below come the M4A1-S | Hyper Beast, the M4A1-S | Chantico's Fire and the M4A1-S | Mecha Industries.
Getting the M4A1-S | Cyrex
The skin lies in the Operation Breakout Weapon Case. A trade-up for it takes ten skins one rank lower from one collection: the Desert Eagle | Conspiracy, the Five-SeveN | Fowl Play and the Glock-18 | Water Elemental. The Covert skin you want comes out with odds of one in two.
The Covert rank itself leads to a knife craft, and this collection has just one: the Butterfly Knife.
StatTrak and Souvenir
A StatTrak version of the M4A1-S | Cyrex exists. There were no souvenir packages for this finish, but you can build a souvenir copy yourself through the Souvenir-O-Matic.
Stickers and craft on the M4A1-S | Cyrex
The bright red and white blocks cover a small part of the surface, and the rest is black. Stickers read on the black handguard and stock; on the red sleeve and the white insert they cover the border of the block. White and red stickers carry on the palette of the finish.
Who this wear suits
Minimal Wear on the M4A1-S | Cyrex is worth buying for three reasons:
- you need a red-and-black suppressed M4A1-S for CS2, and it should keep a clean look;
- paying 1.07 times more for Factory New makes no visible difference;
- you want a 2014 Workshop finish from The Breakout Collection.
Going further down the scale does not lower the price, so it saves nothing in CS2.
