The M4A1-S | Emphorosaur-S in Well-Worn (WW) is the fourth of five versions of the green M4A1-S with a dinosaur on it. Floats in this wear run from 0.38 to 0.45, so it takes 9% of the skin's scale, which stops at 0.80. The skin is Restricted and drops from the Revolution Case.
What the M4A1-S | Emphorosaur-S looks like in Well-Worn
The body is painted green from muzzle to stock and crossed by burgundy stripes, like a predator's hide. A dinosaur's head peers out of the breach above the magazine well, and black claw marks run along the handguard and the yellow magazine. The gray pistol grip is left unpainted.
In Well-Worn the green is already rubbed off the ribs of the suppressor and handguard, and the edges of the magazine and the carry handle lighten next. The flat side with the breach keeps the scene intact, so the skin is recognizable at a glance. A float never changes as time goes by: the wear is set when the skin drops.
Where the M4A1-S | Emphorosaur-S came from
Sparkwire made the skin and took the subject from the velociraptor. In the Workshop submission the author described a leopard-sized animal with sharp jaws and a single powerful claw on its foot. The effect of a three-dimensional illusion is repeated across three works in the series. The skin arrived with the Revolution Collection in February 2023.
What to check before buying
For a Well-Worn copy, the checks are these:
- the float within 0.38 to 0.45: the band is short, and the difference between listings is hard to catch;
- the ribs of the handguard and suppressor in the listing preview;
- stickers and a name tag from the previous owner, which stay on the listing.
The artwork repeats from listing to listing unchanged, and the tight 0.38 to 0.45 band leaves little to choose between.
What the M4A1-S | Emphorosaur-S costs in Well-Worn
Compared with the other wears:
- Factory New is pricier by almost four times;
- Minimal Wear is pricier by a factor of more than one and a half;
- Field-Tested is cheaper by about a sixth;
- Battle-Scarred is cheaper by about a fifth.
Among the eight Restricted M4A1-S skins in Well-Worn, the Emphorosaur-S is second from the bottom, with only the M4A1-S | Nitro cheaper. Right above it comes the M4A1-S | Night Terror, then the M4A1-S | Electrum. The M4A1-S | Liquidation costs a little over twice as much, and the M4A1-S | Glitched Paint three and a half times. The top of the rank belongs to the M4A1-S | Flashback and the M4A1-S | Basilisk.
Getting the M4A1-S | Emphorosaur-S
The skin has a single case, the Revolution Case, and CS2 has no other. The second route is a trade-up: hand in ten skins from the rank below, all from the same collection.
StatTrak and Souvenir
The M4A1-S | Emphorosaur-S comes in a StatTrak version. It also exists as a Souvenir copy, although the finish never had Souvenir packages: those were produced only for the tournament map collections. The Souvenir-O-Matic makes these copies, applying gold tournament stickers and a player autograph to a regular skin from the inventory.
Stickers and craft on the M4A1-S | Emphorosaur-S
Against the saturated green, dark stickers read well, while light green and turquoise ones blend in. The gray pistol grip is unpainted and open for a sticker. It is better to leave the breach uncovered.
Who this wear suits
Well-Worn is a fair choice if:
- you want the recognizable dinosaur scene at a price below Minimal Wear;
- the shade of the green matters more to you than neat edges;
- the skin is for actual play in CS2 rather than for show.
If savings are all you need, Field-Tested is cheaper by a sixth, although its wear is lighter.
