M4A1-S | Flashback (Well-Worn)

Well-Worn (WW) on the M4A1-S | Flashback is the fourth of five wears, and in price it is closer to the bottom than to the top. It is Restricted, and the source is the Glove Case. The float limits for this wear are 0.38 and 0.45, which is 7% of a scale that stretches to 1.00.

What the M4A1-S | Flashback looks like in Well-Worn

An olive rifle with swampy green and sandy patches, carrying cream graffiti. It lies across the whole body: on the suppressor, the receiver, the magazine and the stock. The lettering on the suppressor is large, on the receiver smaller and with numbers. The cream is yellowish in places.

The artwork is made of words that can only partly be read: short Latin phrases show, while some marks are smeared on purpose. The skin has no single subject.

In Well-Worn the wear is already visible on the edges of the suppressor and receiver, where the cream letters break up into separate strokes. On flat areas the graffiti reads better.

Where the M4A1-S | Flashback came from

The Glove Collection came out with this skin in November 2016, and the rifle arrived in the same update. The finish was made by Superior Weapons and is number 631 in Valve's catalog.

What to check before buying

Listings differ in these parameters:

• a float between 0.38 and 0.45;


• how many cream letters on the suppressor edges can still be read;


• any stickers and name tag the previous owner left behind.

All copies carry the same graffiti. Between 0.38 and 0.45 the look does not change, and that makes choosing easier.

What the M4A1-S | Flashback costs in Well-Worn

Factory New costs 35 times more, Minimal Wear 2.4 times more and Field-Tested 1.3 times more. Battle-Scarred is cheaper by 1.1 times. So Well-Worn costs about 8% more than the bottom wear and about a fifth less than Field-Tested.

Among Restricted rifles, the skin is seventh from the bottom of eight in this wear: six are cheaper and one costs more. Only the M4A1-S | Basilisk is above it, at almost three times the price. The nearest below, the M4A1-S | Glitched Paint, is cheaper by about 40%, and the M4A1-S | Liquidation by half.

Getting the M4A1-S | Flashback

The rifle drops from the Glove Case and from no other.

You can also assemble it by trade-up: ten skins one rank lower from the collection go in. It has five Restricted skins, so the chance is one in five.

StatTrak and Souvenir

StatTrak is available for this finish. The Souvenir packages covered only tournament map collections and never this skin. Even so, you can assemble a Souvenir copy: the Souvenir-O-Matic fits gold tournament stickers and a player autograph onto an ordinary skin in your inventory.

Stickers and craft on the M4A1-S | Flashback

The graffiti have taken almost the whole body, so the places for a craft are the magazine and the butt of the stock. Dark stickers read on the olive background, while cream and white ones merge with the lettering.

Who this wear suits

Well-Worn is worth it for three things:

• you want a CS2 rifle with graffiti at a price 2.4 times below Minimal Wear;


• a recognizable design is enough and clean edges are not needed;


• between 0.38 and 0.45 you need not hunt for the best listing: they all look the same.

Battle-Scarred is cheaper by only about 8%, but its band is almost eight times wider.
