Description

The M4A1-S | Glitched Paint in Field-Tested (FT) is a motley abstraction on which wear is barely visible. The grade's float values run from 0.15 to 0.38, though the skin's own ceiling is 0.67. It is a Restricted skin, and the rifle belongs to the Radiant Collection, a set that never had a case.

What the M4A1-S | Glitched Paint looks like in Field-Tested

The artwork is an abstract, many-colored one with no repeating motif: colors collide edge to edge, and there are almost no single-color areas on the body. It looks as if the paint had jammed and layered on itself. Borders between colors are many, and light and dark areas are about equal. That is why in Field-Tested scuffs dissolve into the artwork and cannot be made out separately. The suppressor and the receiver edge age most visibly, where light metal appears. The abstraction itself keeps its look up to the top of the range.

What to check before buying

Only two things matter on this M4A1-S:

  • the float: on a motley base it affects the look less than on most skins;

  • what the previous owner left on it: a name tag, stickers.

Despite the chaotic look, there are no artwork variants: all copies are identical.

The grade stretches from 0.15 to 0.38, and between the lowest and the highest listing the difference does read.

What the M4A1-S | Glitched Paint costs in Field-Tested

Prices across wears do not run in order:

  • Factory New is about five times more expensive;

  • Minimal Wear is roughly double;

  • Well-Worn is about one and a half times dearer, though it looks worse;

  • Battle-Scarred is cheaper by only a tenth.

Why Well-Worn costs more than the cleaner Field-Tested: it takes about a tenth of the wear scale, while Field-Tested takes about a third. There is no reason to go below Field-Tested, and Battle-Scarred saves an amount within the margin of error.

Getting the M4A1-S | Glitched Paint

You will not find this M4A1-S in cases: the Radiant Collection is handed out for playing time, as a drop. The collection dates to March 31, 2025, and the skin was in the set's first lineup.

So the rifle can only be built through a trade-up contract. It takes ten Mil-Spec skins from the collection and returns one of the set's three Restricted skins at random, so the chance of landing the M4A1-S is one in three.

The skin itself also goes in as an input, and this is the interesting part. Ten Restricted skins of the set give the AK-47 | Nouveau Rouge, the only Classified skin in the collection, so the result is known in advance. But Glitched Paint is the most expensive in this tier, so what goes into the trade are Desert Eagle | Mulberry and USP-S | Bleeding Edge.

StatTrak and Souvenir

No StatTrak™ version of the M4A1-S | Glitched Paint was issued. Souvenir copies exist, but there were no packages for this finish, as those were made only for the tournament map collections. Such copies are built through the Souvenir-O-Matic, which puts gold tournament stickers and a player autograph on an ordinary skin from the inventory.

Stickers and craft on the M4A1-S | Glitched Paint

A motley abstraction is a heavy background: stickers on it look random. Large single-color stickers go here, most often black or white. Colored ones get lost among the blots completely, and holographic ones compete with the chaotic base. For a craft, the clean grades are the better pick, since the abstraction is not smeared on them.

Who this wear suits

Buy Field-Tested here when:

  • you want a bright M4A1-S for CS2 at a reasonable price;

  • it matters that wear does not spoil the look, and here it is barely visible;

  • you are putting together a motley counter-terrorist set in CS2.

Not everyone likes the abstraction, and it does not fit into a quiet set. But paying extra for a clean float makes no sense here.
