M4A1-S | Icarus Fell (Factory New)

The M4A1-S | Icarus Fell in Factory New (FN) is one of only two wears in which this finish exists at all. The scale is cut off at 0.10, so nothing sits below Minimal Wear (MW). The rank is Restricted, and the skin comes from the Gods and Monsters Collection rather than from a case. The name promises wings and feathers, but the model has none.

What the M4A1-S | Icarus Fell looks like in Factory New

The base is dark, a blue-black. Over it runs bright turquoise: a solid fill on the plate by the magazine well, on the front of the suppressor and on the stock tube. From that fill, splashes and drips spread across the receiver and the grip.

Valve describes the finish as a film with feathers and wax around a sun, but on the model only blotches read. No wings, figures or lettering can be made out, so it is pure abstraction. The magazine stays an even dark blue, and the ribbed handguard is black with sparse turquoise dots.

In Factory New both the small splashes and the edges of the fill are intact. On listings with a higher float, the tiny drops on the receiver edges, the front cut of the suppressor and the handguard ribs vanish first. The big blotches hold longer, but the dark base shows through right beneath them, and contrast drops.

Where the M4A1-S | Icarus Fell came from

The finish was drawn by Valve itself and has no Steam Workshop submission. The Gods and Monsters Collection, with this skin in it, came out on May 26, 2015. In Valve's catalog the finish is number 440.

Two days later Valve announced Operation Bloodhound. Its note describes a pass with a challenge coin, a progress log and profile ranks, which arrived in the game that same summer.

What to check before buying

• float: within 0.00 to 0.07 the look does not change, so you take the first suitable listing;

• the condition of the small splashes on the handguard ribs and the suppressor cut;

• any stickers and name tag the weapon already wears.

Pattern variance on the M4A1-S | Icarus Fell

Copies of this skin are not identical: the film is applied with an offset, and the turquoise swirls land on different parts of the body from copy to copy. There are no named rare variants, so go by the image of the specific listing.

What the M4A1-S | Icarus Fell costs in Factory New

In this wear the skin covers the band 0.00 to 0.07. It has only two wears, and Minimal Wear costs about a quarter more than Factory New. A clean body is not the only thing that sets the price order here.

Among the nine Restricted M4A1-S skins priced in this wear, the Icarus Fell is the most expensive. The nearest below, M4A1-S | Flashback, costs over three times less, and M4A1-S | Basilisk about fifteen times less. M4A1-S | Night Terror is hundreds of times cheaper.

Getting the M4A1-S | Icarus Fell

No case contains this skin. It is built by trade-up contract from ten skins one rank lower, taken from a single collection. The collection has two Restricted skins, so the odds of landing on this M4A1-S are one in two.

StatTrak and Souvenir

No StatTrak version of the M4A1-S | Icarus Fell was ever released. There were no Souvenir packages for this finish either, because those were made only for tournament map collections. A Souvenir copy can still be built by hand: the Souvenir-O-Matic puts gold tournament stickers and a player autograph on an ordinary skin from your inventory. So a single Souvenir copy now and then appears where no package ever existed.

Stickers and craft on the M4A1-S | Icarus Fell

The background is dark, yet turquoise blotches lie across almost every surface, so a sticker lands either on the base or on the fill. White and yellow stickers read on both, while light blue and blue ones merge with the splashes. For a CS2 craft the magazine and the ribbed handguard are the freest places.

Who this wear suits

Buying the M4A1-S | Icarus Fell here, in Factory New, makes sense when:

• an intact design matters more than price, since the small splashes are visible only here;

• the M4A1-S is going into a CS2 collection and not into everyday matches;

• price matters, because Minimal Wear costs more for this skin.

Judged only by the overall look in a match, the two wears of this M4A1-S are almost indistinguishable.
