This is the M4A1-S | Knight in Factory New (FN), and the finish gets no cleaner: its scale stops at 0.10, leaving two grades. The float band is 0.00–0.07. The rank is Classified, and the rifle comes from the ESL One Cologne 2014 souvenir package for The Cobblestone Collection.
What the M4A1-S | Knight looks like in Factory New
The body is dark blue, nearly black, with brass laid over it. Brass covers the ribbed handguard, the barrel behind it, a narrow strip atop the receiver and a ring at the butt plate. Valve calls the motif Renaissance armor, and a small gold ornament is etched into the side of the receiver.
The suppressor got no brass and stays dark, like the grip, trigger guard and magazine. Gold is gathered mid-weapon, so in first person the rifle shows mostly handguard and barrel.
In Factory New the brass is smooth and mirror-like, with no matte patches on the handguard ribs. There is little to choose between floats, since the 0.00–0.07 band is short. The difference from Minimal Wear shows on the receiver edges and on the etching, where the gilding dulls first.
Where the M4A1-S | Knight came from
Valve drew it, and the catalog number is 326. The Cobblestone Collection entered the game on July 1, 2014. The map itself came earlier. Valve opened Cobblestone on December 19, 2013 in the Winter Offensive update, at first for its own servers and offline play only. It reached general access on February 6, 2014.
The map's set was handed out in ESL One Cologne 2014 souvenir packages. The Cobblestone Collection has no ordinary weapon case in CS2.
What to check before buying
Points to compare on a listing:
- the float inside 0.00–0.07, since clouding shows on brass sooner than on the dark body;
- the state of the etching on the side of the receiver;
- the applied name and any stickers the previous owner left.
What the M4A1-S | Knight costs in Factory New
The starting price stands in the listings above. Of the fifteen Classified M4A1-S finishes, this one is the dearest in Factory New. The next below it, M4A1-S | Hot Rod, costs a little under half, and M4A1-S | Blue Phosphor nearly six times less.
The second and last grade is Minimal Wear, allotted only the stretch from 0.07 to 0.10. Brass sets the difference between the two, because on the dark body wear hardly registers.
Getting the M4A1-S | Knight
There are two routes: the Cobblestone souvenir package and a trade-up contract. The contract takes ten skins a tier down, all from this collection. The set holds one Classified skin, so the result is known in advance, and the wear is decided by the inputs.
The rifle also works as an input, since the tier above it in the collection is the AWP | Dragon Lore.
StatTrak and Souvenir
No StatTrak version of the M4A1-S | Knight exists; a Souvenir edition does.
Stickers and craft on the M4A1-S | Knight
A dark body with brass is a calm background, and a sticker argues with nothing. Gold and white stickers pick up the brass, dark blue ones merge into the body. For a CS2 craft the stock and magazine are left, while the ribbed handguard is better kept clear.
Who this wear suits
Factory New is justified in these cases:
- clean brass is wanted, with no clouding on the handguard ribs;
- the loadout is built around old Cobblestone skins;
- the rifle is for inspection and inventory rather than daily matches.
In a fight the two grades are almost identical: the gold covers a small share of the body, and the dark blue hides wear.
