Description

The M4A1-S | Liquidation in Minimal Wear (MW) gets you nearly the look of a flawless copy for half the money. The float band runs from 0.07 to 0.15. Its rank is Restricted, and the rifle comes out of the Sealed Genesis Terminal.

What the M4A1-S | Liquidation looks like in Minimal Wear

The body is dark blue, and every edge of it carries a double outline, red on one side and light blue on the other. The trick is borrowed from stereo images. The lines are not painted over the body; they follow the edges of the handguard, receiver, carry handle and stock, so the picture seems to split in two. The suppressor and pistol grip stay out of the effect and remain dark gray. In MW the wear sits on the sharpest edges, the rim of the receiver and the top of the suppressor. There is no gray haze on the flat panels yet, and the outline is unbroken everywhere.

What to check before buying

Two things are worth a look on a Minimal Wear M4A1-S | Liquidation:

  • a float near the bottom of the band, around 0.07: those copies are visually indistinguishable from Factory New (FN);

  • stickers on the body and a name tag.

The pattern is not randomized and the stripes lie the same on every copy, so there is no "rare" example to pay extra for.

Across 0.07 to 0.15 the difference between copies is so small that you can ignore it.

What the M4A1-S | Liquidation costs in Minimal Wear

The neighboring wears give a sense of scale:

  • Factory New costs about twice as much;

  • Field-Tested (FT) costs about half as much;

  • Well-Worn costs about three and a half times less;

  • Battle-Scarred costs about a quarter of the price.

MW sits exactly halfway between the clean grade and the mass-market FT. The reason to pay the premium over FT is simple. On a dark base the gray edges are the only sign of wear, and in MW they have not appeared yet.

Getting the M4A1-S | Liquidation

The skin drops from the Sealed Genesis Terminal, which also defines its collection. It was added to the game on September 16, 2025, together with the whole Genesis Collection.

A trade-up contract is the other route. You hand over ten Mil-Spec skins from the set, for example P250 | Bullfrog, MAG-7 | MAGnitude or MP9 | Broken Record. In return you get one of the five Restricted finishes in the collection. The contract picks at random, so the odds of landing this one are one in five.

For Minimal Wear, though, the contract has to be priced separately. The wear of the result follows the wear of the inputs, so you would need ten Mil-Spec skins in clean wears, and those cost more than the finished rifle. That is why MW is normally bought rather than built.

StatTrak and Souvenir

Stickers and craft on the M4A1-S | Liquidation

The M4A1-S | Liquidation has a StatTrak version. Souvenir copies of the finish turn up as well, though no Souvenir packages were ever made for it: packages only ever covered tournament map collections. Those copies are built with the Souvenir-O-Matic, which puts gold tournament stickers and a player autograph on a normal skin from the inventory.

A clean dark base with a glow is a good backdrop for a tidy build. Red and blue stickers continue the stripes on the body, while white ones add contrast. MW is picked for crafts more often than FN. The look is almost the same, the base costs half as much, and there is less to fear from risking expensive stickers.

Who this wear suits

Minimal Wear is a sensible buy for the M4A1-S | Liquidation if:

  • you want the look of a clean copy in CS2 without paying double for FN;

  • you are preparing a base for stickers;

  • the skin is meant for both the hands and the display case.

Next to FT the premium is twofold, and in a match you cannot see the difference at all. For pure play, the wear below is the better value.
