In Factory New (FN) the M4A1-S | Master Piece shows its graffiti at full brightness: an orange tag on a turquoise-blue field with no scuffing. Floats in this wear span 0.00 to 0.07. The carbine ranks Classified and belongs to The Overpass Collection, and in CS2 the skin is offered in all five wears.
What the M4A1-S | Master Piece looks like in Factory New
The main color is turquoise blue with dark strokes, laid over the handguard and the receiver. Across the top of the receiver runs wildstyle graffiti: orange, red and yellow letters woven together. The suppressor, magazine and stock are unpainted and stay gray.
Valve calls the artwork graffiti in wildstyle. In Factory New the outlines of the letters are crisp: no line is worn, and the contrast between the warm tag and the cool background is at its maximum. The gray parts look neutral against it and do not distract.
What to check before buying
When choosing an M4A1-S | Master Piece, look at the following:
- the float: the band from 0.00 to 0.07 covers 7% of the skin's scale;
- stickers and a name tag, which pass to the buyer with the listing;
- the crispness of the tag's letter outlines and of the turquoise strokes along the handguard edges.
There is no choosing an M4A1-S | Master Piece by pattern, since it is identical on every listing. With only 0.00 to 0.07 allotted to this wear, copies look alike.
What the M4A1-S | Master Piece costs in Factory New
Here is how far Factory New sits above the other wears:
- 1.86 times the price of Minimal Wear;
- 2.93 times the price of Field-Tested;
- 3.43 times the price of Well-Worn;
- 3.57 times the price of Battle-Scarred.
The step from Factory New down to Minimal Wear is almost a halving, while the three lowest wears separate more modestly. Among Classified M4A1-S skins in Factory New, this one ranks fourth by price out of fifteen. Above it stand M4A1-S | Knight, M4A1-S | Hot Rod and M4A1-S | Blue Phosphor, the last by more than one and a half times. Below come M4A1-S | Nightmare and M4A1-S | Atomic Alloy, both about a third cheaper. M4A1-S | Fatal Glitch is three and a half times cheaper.
Getting the M4A1-S | Master Piece
The skin belongs to the Souvenir packages for tournaments on the Overpass map. There is no ordinary case for it.
A contract into it takes ten skins of the rank below from the same collection. That step holds two skins and the step above holds one, and the contract always returns that one.
StatTrak and Souvenir
There is no StatTrak version of the M4A1-S | Master Piece. Souvenir copies exist: tournament packages handed them out, and any ordinary skin can be made a Souvenir through the Souvenir-O-Matic.
Stickers and craft on the M4A1-S | Master Piece
The gray magazine and stock are the quietest places for a craft. White and light stickers read on the turquoise handguard, while blue and light-blue ones get lost. The tag on the receiver is better left open.
Who this wear suits
The M4A1-S | Master Piece in Factory New makes sense when at least one of these holds:
- you want an untouched, bright tag and crisp letter outlines;
- the carbine is going into a CS2 inventory to be looked at, not into daily play;
- paying almost twice as much as for Minimal Wear is acceptable.
For shooting in CS2 the factory look adds nothing, since wear does not affect it.
