Battle-Scarred (BS) is the most worn version of the M4A1-S | Mecha Industries, a white Covert M4A1-S with orange lines. In this wear the skin sits between 0.45 and 0.80. The value of 0.80 is the skin's ceiling, so the wear takes up 44% of the scale. The skin is for the Counter-Terrorist side and drops from the Gamma Case.
What the M4A1-S | Mecha Industries looks like in Battle-Scarred
The suppressor, receiver and stock are white, divided by light gray panels. The orange lies in thin lines along the suppressor and the trim of the receiver, and in bands on the magazine and the stock. The barrel is dark, and Valve writes that the body is assembled from panels of hardened ceramic.
The skin has no scene: it rests on panels and seams, like markings on equipment. The suppressor and the receiver carry small technical lettering and numbers, and an orange triangle stands by the stock.
In Battle-Scarred, white gets dirty the most visibly. The edges of the suppressor and receiver are gray, and the scuffing reaches the orange lines on the raised parts. Wear is recorded in the float when the skin drops and does not change after that.
Where the M4A1-S | Mecha Industries came from

What to check before buying
Choosing a particular M4A1-S | Mecha Industries comes down to these points:
- the float: between 0.45 and 0.80 there is room for the kind of difference that makes comparing several listings worthwhile;
- the state of the orange lines on the suppressor and the magazine;
- stickers on the body of the M4A1-S | Mecha Industries and a name tag, if there is one.
Choosing by pattern on the M4A1-S | Mecha Industries does not exist as such.
What the M4A1-S | Mecha Industries costs in Battle-Scarred
Every other wear is dearer than Battle-Scarred:
- Factory New, by about 1.75 times;
- Minimal Wear, by a few percent;
- Field-Tested, by a few percent;
- Well-Worn, level, with a difference of under three percent.
The four lower wears cost practically the same, and the gap opens only at Factory New.
Among the ten Covert M4A1-S finishes, this skin costs more than three and less than six. M4A1-S | Hyper Beast costs a few percent more, M4A1-S | Printstream about a quarter more, and M4A1-S | Cyrex almost twice as much. M4A1-S | Golden Coil and M4A1-S | Player Two cost half as much, and M4A1-S | Vaporwave nearly a third as much.
Getting the M4A1-S | Mecha Industries
The M4A1-S | Mecha Industries drops from the Gamma Case, and no other case holds this finish. The skin comes out of a trade-up: ten skins of the rank below from this collection go in. The collection holds two Covert skins, which makes it a coin flip.
StatTrak and Souvenir
There is a StatTrak version of the M4A1-S | Mecha Industries. Souvenir packages for the finish were never released; they existed only for tournament map collections. But a souvenir copy can be built yourself, because the Souvenir-O-Matic applies gold tournament stickers and a player autograph to a regular skin from the inventory. For that reason individual souvenir copies exist even where packages never did.
Stickers and craft on the M4A1-S | Mecha Industries
The even white suppressor gives a long space for a sticker, and almost any color but white reads on it. The orange lines under stickers are best left uncovered: without them the design falls apart into gray pieces. On the scuffed edges part of a sticker is lost together with the paint. For CS2, contrasting stickers work better.
Who this wear suits
Battle-Scarred on the M4A1-S | Mecha Industries is worth buying when:
- you want a Covert M4A1-S for CS2 at the lowest price among the skin's wears;
- gray film on the white panels does not bother you;
- the numbers favor it: Factory New costs 1.75 times as much, while the difference from Well-Worn is nil.
