M4A1-S | Mecha Industries (Minimal Wear)

The M4A1-S | Mecha Industries in Minimal Wear (MW) is a white Covert M4A1-S on which a gray film is only starting to appear along the edges. The float band is 0.07 to 0.15, which is 10% of the scale up to 0.80. It is a skin for the Counter-Terrorist side and comes from the Gamma Case.

What the M4A1-S | Mecha Industries looks like in Minimal Wear

White panels are broken up by gray inserts, and orange lines run along their seams like markings on machinery. The lines extend along the suppressor, gather into a trim on the receiver, and lie in bands on the magazine and the stock. There is no scene to speak of: the composition is held by the panels.

Small technical markings show on the suppressor and the receiver, and an orange triangle sits by the stock. The barrel is dark and stands sharply apart from the white.

In Minimal Wear the edges of the suppressor begin to gray, while the orange lines on the raised parts are still bright. On white, this kind of scuffing shows closer to the edges, and the flats of the panels are clean.

What to check before buying

In a listing of the M4A1-S | Mecha Industries, these are the parameters to check:

• the float: in this wear the M4A1-S | Mecha Industries sits in a short stretch from 0.07 to 0.15, so there is no point chasing the number;

• gray film on the edges of the suppressor;

• stickers and a name tag, if this M4A1-S | Mecha Industries already has them.

There is no pattern lottery on the M4A1-S | Mecha Industries: all copies look the same.

What the M4A1-S | Mecha Industries costs in Minimal Wear

The prices of the other wears, measured from Minimal Wear:

• Factory New: about 1.6 times higher;

• Field-Tested: level, within three percent;

• Well-Worn: a few percent lower;

• Battle-Scarred: also a few percent lower.

So a surcharge applies only on the move up to Factory New.

Among the eleven Covert M4A1-S finishes, three of the other ten cost less than this one and seven cost more. M4A1-S | Hyper Beast costs slightly more. M4A1-S | Golden Coil is a quarter cheaper, and M4A1-S | Vaporwave and M4A1-S | Player Two cost half as much. M4A1-S | Printstream costs a little more than twice as much.

Getting the M4A1-S | Mecha Industries

The skin is in the Gamma Case. The alternative to buying is a trade-up: ten skins of the rank below from the same collection give the M4A1-S | Mecha Industries. The collection has two Covert skins, so this M4A1-S comes up one time in two. The Covert rank itself then feeds a craft toward the knives of this collection.

StatTrak and Souvenir

StatTrak is available for the M4A1-S | Mecha Industries. No Souvenir packages were issued for this finish, since those existed only for tournament map collections. Still, you can build a souvenir copy yourself: the Souvenir-O-Matic puts gold tournament stickers and a player autograph on a regular skin from the inventory. That is why individual souvenir copies exist even where no packages ever did.

Stickers and craft on the M4A1-S | Mecha Industries

The white panels of the suppressor leave room for a sticker, and on the flat part any color except white reads. It is better to leave the orange lines free. In CS2 a craft on this skin looks neater if the stickers are kept in one place.

Who this wear suits

The M4A1-S | Mecha Industries in Minimal Wear makes sense when:

• you want a Covert M4A1-S for CS2 without paying the surcharge for Factory New;

• a light film on the edges is no trouble, as long as the flats of the panels stay clean;

• the price, which barely differs from the more worn wears, suits you.
