The M4A1-S | Printstream in Well-Worn (WW) takes the float band 0.38 to 0.45 and costs almost the same as Field-Tested. It is a Covert skin from the Operation Broken Fang Collection. Minimal Wear sits above it in price and Battle-Scarred below.
What the M4A1-S | Printstream looks like in Well-Worn
The skin is built on a contrast of two materials. White paint covers everything along the axis of the weapon, while the barrel, suppressor, front sight and grip remain dark olive metal without paint. The white is slightly creamy, like paper. Over it lies gray print: halftone dots, thin drafting lines and small symbols, with an "XX" and a heart visible on the side of the receiver.
In Well-Worn the white is already getting dirty and yellowing at the edges: on the handguard ribs, the receiver corner and the lower part of the magazine. The thin lines of the print break in those places, though the large white planes stay light. The condition of a copy is set at drop, and a listing stays as it appears in its photo.
Where the M4A1-S | Printstream came from
The artist is JTPNZ, and the Steam Workshop submission was titled "M4A1-S | PRINTSTREAM". The Operation Broken Fang Collection, with this skin in it, came out on December 3, 2020. Valve's catalog number for the finish is 984.
What to check before buying
A few points are worth checking before you buy the M4A1-S | Printstream:
- the float: the 0.38 to 0.45 band is 7% of the skin's scale, tight, and listings at the extremes differ only by the number;
- what the previous owner left on the rifle, meaning stickers and a name tag;
- the print on the handguard ribs, where the lines are thinnest.
There is no choosing by artwork on the M4A1-S | Printstream as such.
What the M4A1-S | Printstream costs in Well-Worn
Set against Well-Worn, the remaining wears read as follows:
- Factory New costs 2.14 times as much;
- Minimal Wear costs 1.41 times as much;
- Field-Tested is cheaper by only a few percent;
- Battle-Scarred is 1.32 times cheaper.
Ten Covert M4A1-S finishes have a price in this wear: six cost less than the Printstream and three cost more. M4A1-S | Cyrex is a few percent higher. M4A1-S | Hyper Beast and M4A1-S | Mecha Industries are lower by about a third, and M4A1-S | Player Two by a factor of three. The cheapest in the rank is M4A1-S | Vaporwave.
Getting the M4A1-S | Printstream
The skin drops from the Operation Broken Fang Case. A trade-up for the M4A1-S | Printstream uses ten skins one step down. If all ten are from that collection, it has two Covert skins, so one outcome in two goes to the rifle.
StatTrak and Souvenir
The game has a StatTrak version of the M4A1-S | Printstream. No souvenir packages were made for it, but a souvenir copy can be built through the Souvenir-O-Matic.
Stickers and craft on the M4A1-S | Printstream
The print is small and gray, so stickers compete with the yellow edges more than with the artwork. Black, red and blue stickers show well on the cream field, and white ones merge into it. Large stickers are best placed on the magazine, leaving the carry handle for small ones.
Who this wear suits
This wear of the M4A1-S | Printstream is a reasonable buy if:
- you want a white M4A1-S for CS2 with visible wear along the edges;
- the price nearly matches Field-Tested, and the look of the listing photo decides between the two;
- the fine print needs to read on the big white planes.
