Description

Battle-Scarred (BS) is the cheapest way into the M4A1-S | Solitude in CS2. The distance to the clean grade is enormous: Factory New asks around nine times as much. Float here runs from 0.45 to 0.70 rather than to one, as it does on most skins. The rifle's own ceiling stops at 0.70, so it never reaches a fully stripped state. The rank is Classified. Cases never carried the finish: it was a limited slot in the Armory, paid for in credits.

What the M4A1-S | Solitude looks like in Battle-Scarred

The art is a mountain relief, layered ridges running down the body, and small scuffs disappear between the layers. The outline drawing survives in fragments: unbroken lines are left on the flat panels only, and the edges and magazine are rubbed to metal. The blue ground turns steel gray, which makes the rifle read as camouflage rather than as a map. The clipped float ceiling works for the buyer here, since even the worst copy keeps part of the drawing. Spread inside the grade is small, and copies at 0.46 and 0.68 are not far apart.

What to check before buying

Float decides less than usual on the M4A1-S | Solitude in this grade, so buyers weigh other things:

  • the drawing in the screenshot, because the pattern index sets which parts of the relief came through;

  • the applied stickers and the name tag — on a skin this cheap those often cost more than the rifle, which is what makes listings differ.

Clean-looking copies and visibly worn ones sit side by side on the 0.45 to 0.70 stretch. Behind the label lies a wide band, and its two ends do not look alike.

What the M4A1-S | Solitude costs in Battle-Scarred

The starting price is in the list of offers above, and nothing on this rifle comes in below this grade. For comparison:

  • Well-Worn is dearer and looks worse for it, squeezed into a band of 0.38 to 0.45;

  • Field-Tested is dearer by a modest margin, and its drawing there is noticeably more complete;

  • Factory New carries a tag around nine times above this one.

A small step up to Field-Tested buys a plainly better look. On a hard budget Battle-Scarred does its job, though the room left under it is minimal.

The same finish on another model

The same art also sits on the XM1014 | Solitude. Under heavy wear it holds up better there: the shotgun's body is larger, so the relief still reads once the edges are rubbed.

Getting the M4A1-S | Solitude

Cases never held this rifle at all. It was handed out by the Armory, the reward system fed by credits that Prime players bank through match experience. Solitude occupied a limited slot there.

Limited offers run for a set window and then leave the rotation, so credits are not the route to it. A trade-up contract does not apply either: contracts run inside a collection, and this finish belongs to none. For Battle-Scarred the effect is direct — the most beaten copies are never swallowed by contracts, and they stay in circulation.

StatTrak and Souvenir

Stickers and craft on the M4A1-S | Solitude

No StatTrak version of the M4A1-S | Solitude was ever released. Souvenir copies do turn up, but no Souvenir packages were made for this finish: packages only ever covered tournament map collections. Those copies are built with the Souvenir-O-Matic, which puts gold tournament stickers and a player autograph on a normal skin from the inventory.

This is the cheapest base there is for sticker experiments, and a craft that goes wrong costs nothing to regret. A rubbed body takes light stickers well, white and pale blue above all, and the stickers cover the worn spots into the bargain. Expensive ones make no sense here, since the money will not come back on resale.

Who this wear suits

Battle-Scarred on the M4A1-S | Solitude pays off when:

  • a recognizable M4 is wanted in a CS2 loadout for the least money;

  • the rifle is going to be covered in cheap stickers anyway;

  • the skin is bought as a trial, to see how it looks in game.

The drawback is plain: in inspection and in screenshots the drawing looks torn. With a little more to spend, Field-Tested gives a far more complete picture for nearly the same money.
