This is the M4A4 | Converter in Factory New (FN), and in this wear the skin shows its whole drawing: the float sits in the band 0.00 to 0.07. The skin is Mil-Spec rank, from The 2018 Inferno Collection. A Counter-Terrorist rifle with a red and gray honeycomb mesh, it stands out at once against smooth finishes in CS2.
What the M4A4 | Converter looks like in Factory New
The base is steel gray with a sand cast. Over it lies a dark gray grid of hexagons, with some cells filled bright red and red splashes flying off around them. The front sight, rear sight and pistol grip are painted red throughout. The stock stays gray, and the barrel and muzzle brake are bare dark metal.
The honeycomb covers the handguard, both halves of the receiver and the magazine. It lies densest on the lower receiver and the magazine. There is no lettering or logo anywhere: the whole design is hexagons and red patches.
At the bottom of the band the red on the front sight and the grip ribs looks solid. These raised parts lose their paint first on this skin, and in Factory New that has not yet happened.
Where the M4A4 | Converter came from
The skin did not come from the Steam Workshop. Valve made it in-house. It was released in September 2018 with the Inferno collection and sits in Valve's catalog under number 793. Valve describes it as a red and black mesh hydrographic.
What to check before buying
On the M4A4 | Converter, two things change from listing to listing:
- the float: the number varies within 0.00 to 0.07, but on a honeycomb the difference does not show;
- stickers and a name tag left on this M4A4 | Converter by a previous owner.
What the M4A4 | Converter costs in Factory New
Factory New is the most expensive wear of this skin. Minimal Wear is cheaper by a factor of 1.7, Well-Worn by half, and Field-Tested by two and a half. The narrow Factory New band takes only 18% of the 0.00 to 0.40 scale, and that explains the premium.
Among Mil-Spec skins for the M4A4, in this wear it costs more than the M4A4 | Zubastick, M4A4 | Polymer and M4A4 | Choppa. The M4A4 | Magnesium and M4A4 | Dark Operative cost more. The row holds nine skins in all, and at the top stand the M4A4 | Global Offensive, M4A4 | Faded Zebra and M4A4 | Radiation Hazard.
Getting the M4A4 | Converter
The skin has no regular case. Copies come from tournament souvenir packages, from London 2018 to Budapest 2025, and a souvenir version exists. The second route is a trade-up: ten skins one rank lower, all from The 2018 Inferno Collection.
StatTrak and Souvenir
This skin has no StatTrak™ version. A souvenir version exists: souvenir packages hand it out, and such a copy can also be made through the Souvenir-O-Matic.
Stickers and craft on the M4A4 | Converter
The mesh is dense and busy, so small stickers on the handguard get lost among the cells. High-contrast ones work better: white and gold read on the gray base. Red stickers merge with the fill. Builds around the M4A4 | Converter come together easily around the red grip and front sight.
Who this wear suits
The M4A4 | Converter in Factory New makes sense if at least one of these fits:
- you want an M4A4 with solid red on the grip and front sight;
- a wear without scuffs matters more than the lowest price;
- you are collecting inventory from one collection and need a Mil-Spec skin from The 2018 Inferno Collection.
