The M4A4 | Evil Daimyo in Battle-Scarred (BS) is the lowest wear of the finish. It is cut off at the top, so this M4A4 is never more worn than 0.52. The float band is 0.45 to 0.52, which is 13% of the scale. It is a Restricted skin available to Counter-Terrorists, from The Falchion Collection.
What the M4A4 | Evil Daimyo looks like in Battle-Scarred
Large flat planes, like broken shards, make up the pattern. Saturated red, dark cherry in places, meets gray and graphite on the receiver and stock. A red star is drawn on the side of the receiver. The handguard is dark gray and the magazine is red and gray. Facet borders are crisp with no blending, and there is no lettering.
In Battle-Scarred, the facet tips along the receiver and stock edges lighten. Scuffs are hardest to miss on a faceted pattern, since bare light metal along the ridges shows from across the room. Wear is fixed when the skin drops and stays as it is.
Where the M4A4 | Evil Daimyo came from
The finish is number 480 in Valve's catalog, and the artist behind it is The Honey Badger. The M4A4 | Evil Daimyo entered the game on May 28, 2015, when the Falchion Collection came out. Valve's note on the launch of Operation Bloodhound says the case holds sixteen community works and the Falchion Knife.
What to check before buying
These are the things to look at on an M4A4 | Evil Daimyo:
- float within 0.45 to 0.52, since the finish's ceiling is 0.52;
- the red facets near the receiver edges, and how far they have worn down to gray;
- whether the M4A4 | Evil Daimyo carries stickers or an applied name tag.
Between 0.45 and 0.52 the look does not change, and no second version of the artwork exists.
What the M4A4 | Evil Daimyo costs in Battle-Scarred
The other wears, measured against Battle-Scarred:
- Factory New costs 2.6 times as much;
- Minimal Wear costs 1.6 times as much;
- Well-Worn costs 1.2 times as much;
- Field-Tested costs 1.05 times less.
Field-Tested comes out slightly cheaper than Battle-Scarred here. Among Restricted M4A4 skins this one sits in the middle. Cheaper are the M4A4 | Griffin, M4A4 | Etch Lord and M4A4 | Sheet Lightning; dearer are the M4A4 | Spider Lily, M4A4 | Modern Hunter and M4A4 | Daybreak.
Getting the M4A4 | Evil Daimyo
The M4A4 | Evil Daimyo drops from the Falchion Case, and no other case holds this finish.
The trade-up contract is the second route. It takes ten skins of the rank below, from one collection or from several, and the collection of the result depends on what goes in. Ten Falchion Collection skins give one of the collection's five Restricted skins, so the M4A4 comes out with a one-in-five chance.
StatTrak and Souvenir
The M4A4 | Evil Daimyo has a StatTrak version. No Souvenir packages were ever made for this finish: they existed only for tournament map collections. A souvenir copy can still be built through the Souvenir-O-Matic.
Stickers and craft on the M4A4 | Evil Daimyo
The red star on the receiver side takes the central spot, but the stock and handguard stay free. Light stickers show better on the dark handguard, while red ones sink into the red facets of the stock. Next to scuffed edges a sticker loses contrast.
Who this wear suits
Battle-Scarred on the M4A4 | Evil Daimyo is the one to buy if at least one of these fits:
- you want a red-and-gray M4A4 for CS2 with a faceted pattern;
- scuffed facet tips do not bother you, and price matters more than it does for the upper wears;
- you pick a float within the short 0.45 to 0.52 band, where copies look alike.
