The M4A4 | Neo-Noir in Minimal Wear (MW) is a pink-and-turquoise portrait on which wear is only beginning. It is a Covert skin from The Clutch Collection, and the float range of this wear runs from 0.07 to 0.15.
What the M4A4 | Neo-Noir looks like in Minimal Wear
The artwork is built on the receiver and the stock: a raspberry panel with the face, pink strands streaked with white, and turquoise swirls on a pale stock. The handguard is gray-white with a blue cast. The barrel and muzzle brake are dark gray, with a turquoise ring at the muzzle, and the folding front sight is white.
The band of 0.07 to 0.15 is narrow, so copies barely differ from one another. The thin turquoise lines at the muzzle and on the stock wear away first, then the handguard edges and the rim of the receiver side by the ejection port. The pink fills of the face on the flat panel hold longer, while the black outlines tear as wear sets in.
Where the M4A4 | Neo-Noir came from
The Clutch Collection came out on February 14, 2018, and the M4A4 | Neo-Noir was on its list from the start. Valve's catalog numbers the finish 695, and its author is donschi.
He submitted it to the Workshop under the title "M4A4_Neo-Noir". Valve's description states the subject plainly: a stylized blue and raspberry woman against a background in shades of gray.
What to check before buying
Three things deserve a look on an M4A4 | Neo-Noir before you pay:
- the float: a number inside 0.07 to 0.15 only refines the wear label;
- how sharp the black outlines of the face are on the side of the receiver;
- any name tag and stickers, which stay with the listing.
Every copy of the M4A4 | Neo-Noir carries the same pattern.
What the M4A4 | Neo-Noir costs in Minimal Wear
Set against this wear, the others stand as follows:
- Factory New is 1.82 times more expensive;
- Field-Tested is 1.38 times cheaper;
- Well-Worn is 1.61 times cheaper;
- Battle-Scarred is 1.71 times cheaper.
In this wear the skin is fourth from the bottom among thirteen Covert M4A4 skins. The M4A4 | Temukau costs almost the same, and the M4A4 | The Emperor is 1.4 times pricier. The M4A4 | In Living Color is a sixth cheaper, while the M4A4 | Desert-Strike and M4A4 | The Battlestar are 30 to 35 percent cheaper. At the top, the M4A4 | Buzz Kill, M4A4 | Eye of Horus and M4A4 | The Coalition cost six to eight times more.
Getting the M4A4 | Neo-Noir
The skin drops from the Clutch Case, and the finish belongs to the same collection. A trade-up contract of ten skins one rank down from a single collection produces the M4A4 | Neo-Noir, and the odds on this particular Covert skin are one in two.
The Covert rank of this collection also feeds the glove craft, which has six glove models in it.
StatTrak and Souvenir
A StatTrak version of the M4A4 | Neo-Noir exists. No Souvenir package was ever released for this finish, but you can build a Souvenir copy yourself through the Souvenir-O-Matic.
Stickers and craft on the M4A4 | Neo-Noir
The pink ground narrows the palette: white and black stickers read clearly, and turquoise ones pick up the swirls on the stock. The side with the face should not be overloaded, so stickers go on the handguard and the magazine.
Who this wear suits
Minimal Wear is the right buy for the M4A4 | Neo-Noir if:
- you want the portrait with its black outlines intact, and Factory New costs 1.8 times more;
- you need copies that match, and the band here is short;
- you want a pink-and-turquoise rifle for CS2.
Field-Tested is 1.38 times cheaper, but the wear is more visible there.
