The M4A4 | Poseidon in Minimal Wear (MW) is the cheapest of three grades, since Factory New and Field-Tested both cost more. The wear range runs from 0.07 to 0.15. The rank is Classified, the set The Gods and Monsters Collection, and no CS2 case contains the skin.
What the M4A4 | Poseidon looks like in Minimal Wear
The ground is pale blue, with turquoise and white swirls. An antique ornament runs over it: Greek meanders and waves on the handguard. The magazine is light blue and the stock turquoise, while barrel and carry handle stay gray and unfinished. On the receiver side, by the magazine well, stands a green figure with a trident in a yellow glow, pose and robe folds readable.
A pale ground is awkward for wear, since gray on light blue is spotted at once. In the 0.07–0.15 band scuffing is still pointwise, on receiver edges and handguard ribs, while the meanders on the flats stay unbroken. The green figure lies on an even panel and goes untouched here.
Where the M4A4 | Poseidon came from
The author is Valve itself; no outside artist stands behind it. The Gods and Monsters Collection was released on May 26, 2015, and the catalog lists the item under number 449.
It arrived with Operation Bloodhound, and the launch note listed what the pass gave: a commemorative coin, a progress journal and profile ranks. The note added that buying the pass changed a player's weapon drops too.
What to check before buying
Choosing a listing, attention goes to:
- the float inside 0.07–0.15, since at the lower bound the edges are still blue;
- the handguard ribs, where the ornament breaks first;
- the applied name and any stickers already on the rifle.
The artwork does not vary, so pattern plays no part, and the grade fits inside 0.07–0.15, so listings look the same. The scale is cut at 0.33, and this band takes almost a quarter of it.
What the M4A4 | Poseidon costs in Minimal Wear
The finish has three grades, and this is the lowest by price:
- Factory New is dearer by about a quarter;
- Field-Tested by about an eighth.
The order is inverted, the more scuffed version asking more. The difference is short, within an eighth of the price, so the choice between the two lower grades comes down to looks.
Even so, it is first of eight Classified M4A4s by price here. The nearest, M4A4 | Hellfire, is about seven times cheaper and M4A4 | Falak twenty. M4A4 | Cyber Security and M4A4 | 龍王 (Dragon King) trail further, and M4A4 | Tooth Fairy closes the rank.
Getting the M4A4 | Poseidon
No case holds this finish; the collection was earned by playing with an operation pass.
A contract also yields it: ten skins a rank down, one set. The Classified tier here holds a single item, so the trade-up cannot miss. The rifle goes into contracts too, since the tier above it is the AWP | Medusa.
StatTrak and Souvenir
The M4A4 | Poseidon was made without a StatTrak version and without a Souvenir one.
Stickers and craft on the M4A4 | Poseidon
The light blue ground accepts dark, saturated stickers, while anything pale is lost. The magazine and stock are free, and a stock craft does not argue with the ornament. The side panel is not for covering, since the figure is how the finish is recognized at distance.
Who this wear suits
This grade makes sense when:
- a 2015 operation finish is wanted at the lowest of three prices;
- unbroken meanders matter more than absolute edge cleanliness;
- the rifle goes into CS2 matches and the inventory alike.
A pale body gives wear away in the preview, so lower grades lose looks without gaining on price.
