In Battle-Scarred (BS) the M4A4 | Steel Work, an Industrial Grade M4A4 from The Radiant Collection, has a float from 0.45 to 0.70. That is 36% of the scale, and the upper edge runs into the skin's own float ceiling.
What the M4A4 | Steel Work looks like in Battle-Scarred
The skin has three colors: dark olive-bronze metal, red and yellow. The red stripes run diagonally across the top of the receiver, a yellow insert with black hatching sits on the handguard, and the magazine and grip are red. The stock is the same dark metal as the receiver.
In Battle-Scarred the wear on this skin is at its most visible: the paint comes off along edges, seams and exposed corners. The float is set at the moment of the drop and does not change afterward. The band takes up 0.25 of the 0.70.
Where the M4A4 | Steel Work came from
A Valve post dated March 31, 2025 opened the weekly reward list to three collections at once: Ascent, Boreal and The Radiant Collection. The M4A4 | Steel Work belongs to the last of them. Its Valve catalog number is 1313, and the caption on the skin reads "It's on site!".
What to check before buying
When choosing an M4A4 | Steel Work, pay attention to the following:
- float from 0.45 to 0.70: a long band, with noticeably more paint toward the lower edge;
- an applied name tag and stickers: on the M4A4 | Steel Work they stay with the listing.
Choosing by design does not exist here as such: every copy shares the same pattern.
What the M4A4 | Steel Work costs in Battle-Scarred
Battle-Scarred costs the same as Factory New and Well-Worn. Minimal Wear costs about 1.4 times more, and Field-Tested about 3.2 times less.
The ranking of nine Industrial Grade M4A4 skins in this wear puts the skin on the bottom rung. M4A4 | Mainframe costs the same, while M4A4 | Urban DDPAT and M4A4 | Aeolian Dark cost a few percent more. M4A4 | Naval Shred Camo costs 1.4 times more, and M4A4 | Jungle Tiger thirty-five times.
Getting the M4A4 | Steel Work
There is no case that contains the M4A4 | Steel Work. Copies come from the Weekly Care Package, the weekly reward where The Radiant Collection is listed.
A contract for the M4A4 | Steel Work is made up of ten skins one step down, all from the same collection. The chance is one in six.
StatTrak and Souvenir
Neither a StatTrak version nor Souvenir packages were ever released for the M4A4 | Steel Work. You can still build a souvenir copy yourself: the Souvenir-O-Matic puts gold tournament stickers on an ordinary skin.
Stickers and craft on the M4A4 | Steel Work
The dark metal holds light and bright stickers, while red ones disappear against the red magazine. With heavy wear a sticker can look cleaner than the weapon itself. The yellow-and-black insert on the handguard stays the main spot of color.
Who this wear suits
Buying the M4A4 | Steel Work in Battle-Scarred is reasonable when:
- you want an M4A4 for CS2 at the price of Factory New but with no demands on condition;
- the red stripes and yellow insert matter to you as part of the design, and scuffs do not bother you;
- a dark base is what you need under stickers in CS2.
Near 0.45 there is noticeably more paint than at the upper edge of the band.
