The M4A4 | Steel Work in Field-Tested (FT) is an Industrial Grade M4A4 from The Radiant Collection, for the Counter-Terrorist side in CS2. The skin has no case, and its float in this wear takes up 33% of the scale, which runs from 0.00 to 0.70.
What the M4A4 | Steel Work looks like in Field-Tested
By Valve's description, the base of the finish is worn steel. Red ribbons are laid over it, and the grip and magazine are painted the same red.
The band for this wear of the M4A4 | Steel Work lies between 0.15 and 0.38. A float is attached to the skin at the moment it drops and does not shift. From 0.15 to 0.38 there is room for a difference big enough to justify comparing a few listings.
What to check before buying
What matters when buying the M4A4 | Steel Work:
- float: Field-Tested starts at 0.15 and ends at 0.38, so a listing may lean toward Minimal Wear or toward Well-Worn;
- the name tag and stickers this M4A4 | Steel Work already carries.
All copies of the M4A4 | Steel Work have the same pattern, so listings differ by float and by what has been applied to them.
What the M4A4 | Steel Work costs in Field-Tested
This is the cheapest wear of the skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred all cost several times more.
Among Industrial Grade M4A4 skins with a price in this wear, it is at the very bottom of a row of nine, next to M4A4 | Aeolian Dark. The top of the row is M4A4 | Desert Storm.
Getting the M4A4 | Steel Work
The M4A4 | Steel Work does not drop from cases. The Radiant Collection appeared in March 2025 and is on Valve's weekly reward list (the Weekly Care Package), so its items are handed out there.
The M4A4 | Steel Work also comes from trade-ups: a contract takes ten skins one rank down from a single collection. Radiant has six Industrial Grade finishes, so the odds are one in six.
StatTrak and Souvenir
A StatTrak version of the M4A4 | Steel Work was not released. No Souvenir packages exist for this finish either, since those were made only for tournament map collections. But a Souvenir copy can be built by hand: the Souvenir-O-Matic puts gold tournament stickers and a player autograph on an ordinary skin from the inventory. So the occasional Souvenir copy turns up even where no package ever existed.
Stickers and craft on the M4A4 | Steel Work
Stickers lie on top, while the red ribbons, grip and magazine stay as they are. The skin has one pattern across all copies, so a copy is set apart by its float and its stickers.
Who this wear suits
Buying the M4A4 | Steel Work in Field-Tested makes sense under these conditions:
- you want an M4A4 for CS2 with red trim at the lowest price among the skin's wears;
- a float between 0.15 and 0.38 suits you after comparing several listings;
- you do not want to overpay for other wears, which cost several times more.
