Factory New on the M4A4 | Temukau is a case of paying for the pale background: the white panels are clean in every corner. The float runs from 0.00 to 0.07. It is Covert rank, and the rifle comes from the Revolution Case.

What the M4A4 | Temukau looks like in Factory New

The base of the finish is white, with light-blue panels and pink lines laid across it. On the side of the receiver is a girl operator in special-forces gear: lilac hair, a gray-green flight suit. Around her run panels with large Japanese characters, including a round pink seal reading START and fine lines of text on the handguard.

The handguard and stock repeat the same white and light-blue stripes without the figure; the front sight is pink and the barrel dark. The artwork is laid out like a magazine spread: the panels join up with each other and carry on from part to part.

In Factory New (FN) the white panels are untouched everywhere, with no mark on the corner of the receiver, the ribs of the handguard or the bottom of the magazine. Those spots get dirty first, while the face and figure lie on a flat surface and last longest. That is why on the lower wears the finish loses its background before its scene.

Where the M4A4 | Temukau came from

The finish is by f0rnez. He posted the submission to the Steam Workshop on November 10, 2022 under the title "M4A4 | Temukau V2": a second, reworked version with tightened textures.

The author described the scene himself. A counter-terrorist girl meets a rush, grenades fly around her and she has to run through smoke; the point of the scene is to hold the site. Valve's caption repeats the same idea.

The M4A4 | Temukau entered the game on February 9, 2023, together with the whole Revolution Collection. In its post of February 10, 2023 Valve announced the Revolution Case: seventeen finishes by Workshop authors, with the Clutch Case gloves as the rare special items. The finish's number in the Valve catalog is 1228.

What to check before buying

The differences between copies of the M4A4 | Temukau come down to this:

• float: nearer 0.07 the corners of the white panels begin to lose their clean tone;


• stickers from a previous owner and any renaming of the M4A4 | Temukau;


• the bottom of the magazine and the handguard ribs, where wear reads sooner than on the scene.

The artwork on the M4A4 | Temukau does not vary, so pattern plays no part in the choice. The band from 0.00 to 0.07 is narrow, and copies are almost indistinguishable.

What the M4A4 | Temukau costs in Factory New

Going down from the top wear, the step is short at first and then sharp: Minimal Wear is almost half the price, and Field-Tested about a third. Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred sit level with each other, a little below Field-Tested.

The gap holds because of the pale background: on white panels a scuff shows at once, while in Factory New the background is clean throughout.

Among Covert rifles in Factory New this finish is fourth from the bottom by price. Only M4A4 | Desert-Strike, M4A4 | The Battlestar and M4A4 | In Living Color are cheaper. Right above it is M4A4 | Neo-Noir, then M4A4 | X-Ray, and the dearest of all is M4A4 | The Coalition.

Getting the M4A4 | Temukau

The M4A4 | Temukau drops from the Revolution Case and belongs to its collection; no other case yields this finish. For a contract aimed at the M4A4 | Temukau you take ten skins one rank down, all from the same set.

StatTrak and Souvenir

Stickers and craft on the M4A4 | Temukau

The M4A4 | Temukau has a StatTrak version. Souvenir copies of the finish turn up as well, though no Souvenir packages were ever made for it: packages only ever covered tournament map collections. Those copies are built with the Souvenir-O-Matic, which puts gold tournament stickers and a player autograph on a normal skin from the inventory.

A white base dissolves stickers into its own light ground: the sticker's art blends with the panel. Saturated dark and violet marks hold up instead, since they echo the character's hair and suit. Level space remains on the stock and by the rear edge of the handguard, and the panels with the characters are best left uncovered.

Who this wear suits

Factory New is a reasonable buy for the M4A4 | Temukau if at least one of these applies:

• you want a clean white background with no gray in the corners of the panels;


• the rifle is going into a CS2 showcase, where the scene is looked at up close;


• the gap to Minimal Wear is small, and below that it becomes threefold.

The scene cannot be seen from the first-person view in CS2, so for matches this wear is overkill.
