The M4A4 | The Coalition in Minimal Wear (MW) is the second-priciest of this Covert's five wears, and the skin belongs to the 2021 Train Collection. Its gold is barely touched, and the price sits almost three times below Factory New.

What the M4A4 | The Coalition looks like in Minimal Wear

Two colors build the skin, black and gold, and the gold forms a geometric pattern across the black. Diamonds run over the receiver and the magazine, a honeycomb mesh covers the top of the receiver, and the handguard is outlined in thin gold lines around a blue insert. The stock carries a gold plate.

In Minimal Wear the gold turns slightly lighter along the exposed edges, but the diamonds stay whole and the black background is even. Wear is fixed when the skin drops, so a copy in this wear will not get any more scuffed.

What to check before buying

A few points are worth a look before you buy this M4A4:

• the float, which should sit inside the 0.07 to 0.15 band;


• stickers left by a previous owner, and any name tag on the rifle.

The whole wear fits inside 0.07 to 0.15, so listings look the same. Every copy carries identical artwork, and no rare examples exist.

Getting the M4A4 | The Coalition

The M4A4 | The Coalition is made through a trade-up contract of ten skins from the rank below, all from one collection. No regular case holds it. The 2021 Train Collection was added to the game in September 2021, and the skin arrived with that update.

StatTrak and Souvenir

StatTrak was never released for this skin. Souvenir packages for the finish did not exist either, since those were made only for tournament map collections. You can still build a Souvenir copy yourself with the Souvenir-O-Matic, which puts gold tournament stickers and a player autograph on a regular skin from your inventory.

Stickers and craft on the M4A4 | The Coalition

The gold on black is barely worn, so a sticker reads cleanly. Red, white and green stickers stand out well, while yellow ones merge into the pattern. For a craft, the handguard and the stock are good places, and the diamond-covered receiver is better left free.

Who this wear suits

Minimal Wear is the right pick for this skin when:

• you want clean diamonds without the Factory New price;


• small scuffs on the gold edges are acceptable;


• it matters to you that listings inside 0.07 to 0.15 differ very little.

In CS2 shooting is the same in every wear, and only the look of the skin changes.
