Description

The MAC-10 | Disco Tech in Well-Worn (WW) is an iridescent yellow-pink MAC-10 with a short wear band. The float range of this wear runs from 0.38 to 0.45, only 7 percent of the finish's own scale up to 1.00. It is a Classified skin from The Prisma 2 Collection.

What the MAC-10 | Disco Tech looks like in Well-Worn

Valve describes the finish this way: a pearlescent coating made to look like holographic self-adhesive film, whose appearance shifts with the light. On the upper part of the body, yellow turns to pink and purple, with two black cutouts and a diagonal pink stripe laid over it. The grip is covered in the same pink-yellow pearl with rainbow glints. The magazine, bolt and strap stay gray.

In Well-Worn, signs of wear show on the edges of the body and around the cutouts. Wear is fixed at drop: a listing with a float of 0.38 will stay cleaner than one with 0.45.

Where the MAC-10 | Disco Tech came from

The Prisma 2 Collection was released on March 31, 2020, and the MAC-10 | Disco Tech has been in the set since launch. Valve's note on the "Cleaning Out the Cobwebs" update names the Prisma 2 Collection.

What to check before buying

What matters when you buy a MAC-10 | Disco Tech:

  • float: the 0.38 to 0.45 band is short, and listings within it differ little;

  • the upper body and the grip, where the pearl shows wear;

  • whether the MAC-10 already carries a name tag or stickers.

The pattern index changes nothing on the MAC-10 | Disco Tech. Float offers almost no choice either, since the 0.38 to 0.45 segment is short.

What the MAC-10 | Disco Tech costs in Well-Worn

The other wears, measured against this one:

  • Factory New costs three and a half times more;

  • Minimal Wear costs 1.4 times more;

  • Field-Tested costs six percent more;

  • Battle-Scarred costs four percent less.

Of the four Classified MAC-10s in this wear, this skin is the cheapest. Above it in price come MAC-10 | Toybox and then MAC-10 | Propaganda, while MAC-10 | Hot Snakes costs noticeably more than all of them.

Getting the MAC-10 | Disco Tech

The skin drops from the Prisma 2 Case. The alternative to buying is a trade-up: ten skins of the rank below from the same collection can be traded up for the MAC-10 | Disco Tech.

StatTrak and Souvenir

Stickers and craft on the MAC-10 | Disco Tech

The MAC-10 | Disco Tech has a StatTrak version, but no Souvenir packages were ever released for this finish.

The background shimmers, so the color of a sticker on it depends on the angle of the light. Stickers sit calmest on the gray metal and the strap, where there is no pearl. Dark stickers contrast with the yellow area, and light ones show on the pink.

Who this wear suits

A MAC-10 | Disco Tech in Well-Worn is a sensible buy when:

  • you want an iridescent MAC-10 for CS2 with a neon palette;

  • you need to save: Factory New costs three and a half times more;

  • the gap to Battle-Scarred is only four percent, while the wear on Well-Worn is lighter.

If the pearl should play more strongly, take Minimal Wear: it costs 1.4 times more.
