MAC-10 | Echoing Sands (Field-Tested)

This is the MAC-10 | Echoing Sands in Field-Tested (FT), and it is the cheapest skin in its lineup: a MAC-10 in a sandy finish with a wavy pattern. It is Industrial Grade, from The Anubis Collection, on the Terrorist side in CS2. The skin's float runs from 0.02 to 0.80, and this wear's band of 0.15 to 0.38 takes up 29% of the scale.

What the MAC-10 | Echoing Sands looks like in Field-Tested

The receiver is dark, olive-bronze, with golden waves. The magazine, part of the receiver and the barrel are light sandy cream, and the strap is gray. The pattern resembles ripples in sand or moiré: thin parallel waves that converge into knots in places.

The waves run across the receiver, the grip and the side of the frame. The magazine and the upper cover are a plain sandy tone without waves. There is no lettering on the skin. Valve describes the finish as inspired by desert camouflage and surroundings.

Light scuffs show on the edges of the receiver and the lip of the magazine. Wear is fixed when the skin drops.

Where the MAC-10 | Echoing Sands came from

The Anubis Collection came out on April 25, 2023, and brought nineteen skins themed around a new map in the Active Duty pool.

What to check before buying

Before buying a MAC-10 | Echoing Sands, check the following:

• float: within the 0.15 to 0.38 band, listings from the edges look different;

• stickers on the body of the MAC-10 | Echoing Sands, and a name tag if there is one;

• the origin of the copy: a Souvenir copy carries gold tournament stickers.

The pattern on the MAC-10 | Echoing Sands does not vary, so pattern plays no part in the choice.

What the MAC-10 | Echoing Sands costs in Field-Tested

Factory New costs 13.23 times as much, Minimal Wear 3.08 times and Well-Worn 1.92 times. Battle-Scarred also costs more, at 3.85 times.

Among the eight Industrial Grade MAC-10 skins in this wear, the Echoing Sands is the cheapest, and the other seven cost more. The MAC-10 | Palm, the MAC-10 | Video Cam, the MAC-10 | Candy Apple, the MAC-10 | Calf Skin and the MAC-10 | Acid Hex hold together at roughly double. The MAC-10 | Commuter costs tens of times more.

Waves cover the receiver, but the magazine and the upper cover stay a plain sandy tone. These smooth areas suit stickers better than the wavy receiver.
