The MAC-10 | Ensnared in Factory New (FN) is a Mil-Spec submachine gun from The Dreams & Nightmares Collection, for the Terrorist side in CS2. It comes out of the Dreams & Nightmares Case. This wear takes up 8% of a scale that runs from 0.00 to 0.90.

What the MAC-10 | Ensnared looks like in Factory New

According to Valve, the submachine gun is painted as pixies locked inside the weapon and straining to get out. The name of the finish carries the same story: pixies in captivity.

In this wear the MAC-10 | Ensnared is allotted a float of 0.00 to 0.07. Wear is set once, at the moment the item drops. FN shows almost no signs of wear: it is the top wear of the skin.

Where the MAC-10 | Ensnared came from

The MAC-10 | Ensnared appeared in January 2022, when The Dreams & Nightmares Collection was added to the game. Valve's note says the case holds seventeen finishes picked from the Steam Workshop in the Dreams & Nightmares contest.

What to check before buying

Before paying for a MAC-10 | Ensnared, it is worth checking:

• float: this wear ends at 0.07, and Minimal Wear begins at the same point;


• stickers and a name tag already applied to that copy of the MAC-10 | Ensnared.

The finish has one case: the Dreams & Nightmares Case.

A contract cannot produce the MAC-10 | Ensnared: Mil-Spec is the lowest rank of this collection, and it has no skins one rank below. It does work as a contract input, though: ten Mil-Spec skins return one Restricted.

StatTrak and Souvenir

The MAC-10 | Ensnared has a StatTrak version. No Souvenir packages were released for this finish; they were made only for the tournament map collections. Even so, a Souvenir copy can be built by hand: the Souvenir-O-Matic puts gold tournament stickers and a player autograph on an ordinary skin from the inventory. For this reason a lone Souvenir copy sometimes turns up even where no packages ever existed.

Stickers and craft on the MAC-10 | Ensnared

A sticker lies over the artwork and does not replace the pixies on it. The skin has one design for every copy, so copies differ by float and by what is already applied.

Who this wear suits

Factory New on the MAC-10 | Ensnared makes sense in three cases:

• you want a MAC-10 with pixies and the least possible wear, for CS2;


• a float from the very bottom of the scale, 0.00 to 0.07, matters to you;


• the gap to Minimal Wear, which is cheaper by about 3.8 times, is justified by the cleanliness of the paint.
