Battle-Scarred (BS) is the lowest wear of the MAC-10 | Light Box, a Mil-Spec MAC-10 from The Kilowatt Collection with a black body and glowing violet-pink stripes. It is the cheapest of the skin's five wears. The float runs from 0.45 to 1.00, more than half of the whole scale, and this is the lowest price at which the skin can be bought for CS2.
What the MAC-10 | Light Box looks like in Battle-Scarred
The body is black and matte. Short violet-pink stripes glow on the top and side of the receiver, and the same kind of thin line runs along the edge of the magazine. The strap is steel gray with a lilac cast, and the metal of the trigger guard and the bolt handle is light.
This wear of the MAC-10 | Light Box lies between 0.45 and 1.00. The lower edge is 0.45, and the upper one coincides with the end of the skin's scale. Wear is fixed at the drop and stays the same afterward.
Where the MAC-10 | Light Box came from
The Kilowatt Collection was released on February 6, 2024, along with the case of the same name. Valve describes the MAC-10 itself this way: basically a box that bullets fly out of, with a high rate of fire, poor accuracy and heavy recoil.
What to check before buying
When choosing a MAC-10 | Light Box, pay attention to the following:
- float: the 0.45 to 1.00 band is the widest of this skin's wears, and scuffs build up from the top of it to the bottom;
- the stickers and name tag already on this copy of the MAC-10 | Light Box;
- version: a StatTrak listing and a regular one are different products.
The 0.45 to 1.00 stretch is long, and copies at the extremes differ noticeably. The MAC-10 | Light Box is one artwork on every copy, and there are no rare copies.
What the MAC-10 | Light Box costs in Battle-Scarred
The other wears cost more than Battle-Scarred:
- Factory New, by 4.3 times;
- Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn, by 1.2 times.
The three middle wears are level, and a fifth separates them from Battle-Scarred. The main price border lies higher up, at Factory New.
Among Mil-Spec MAC-10 skins in this wear, the skin is third from the bottom: only MAC-10 | Ensnared and MAC-10 | Monkeyflage are cheaper. Next come MAC-10 | Whitefish, MAC-10 | Arabesque Mosaic and MAC-10 | Poplar Thicket. The top of the row is held by MAC-10 | Aloha, MAC-10 | Nuclear Garden and MAC-10 | Copper Borre.
Getting the MAC-10 | Light Box
The skin drops from the Kilowatt Case. It has no other cases.
A contract cannot produce it: in the collection Mil-Spec is the bottom rank, and there is nothing below to feed in. The skin does work as an input itself, and the result is a Restricted skin, for example Glock-18 | Block-18 or M4A4 | Etch Lord.
StatTrak and Souvenir
The MAC-10 | Light Box has a StatTrak version. No Souvenir packages came with it, but a Souvenir copy can be assembled through the Souvenir-O-Matic.
Stickers and craft on the MAC-10 | Light Box
The black field leaves a lot of flat space, and light stickers show clearly on it. Pink and purple echo the stripes, while dark ones blend into the body. It is better to leave the line along the edge of the magazine uncovered, since it holds the design together.
Who this wear suits
Buying the MAC-10 | Light Box in Battle-Scarred makes sense on these terms:
- you want a neon MAC-10 at the lowest price among the wears;
- it matters to you that Minimal Wear is only a fifth away, while Factory New is more than four times away;
- you need a dark base for light stickers and the wear is no bother.
