The MAC-10 | Oceanic in Factory New (FN) has blue blotches across the top on a dark ground, with the lower part left bare. It is a Mil-Spec skin from The Spectrum 2 Collection, dropped by the Spectrum 2 Case. In this wear the MAC-10 costs more than in any other wear of the skin.
What the MAC-10 | Oceanic looks like in Factory New
The top of the receiver and the barrel shroud carry a mottled pattern of blurred blue blotches. The ground is nearly black with a blue cast, and the spots are light blue and deep blue, with ragged edges that overlap in places. There is no lettering or symbols.
The lower part, the magazine, the trigger guard and the wire stock are left unpainted: gray metal, with a beige sling. The paint on the body is even. Wear is set when the skin drops, and in Factory New no scuffing shows on the blue ground.
What to check before buying
Before buying the MAC-10 | Oceanic, a few points are worth checking:
- float: this wear of the MAC-10 | Oceanic occupies the band from 0.00 to 0.07;
- stickers on the body of the MAC-10 | Oceanic, and a name tag if there is one.
There is almost nothing to choose by float on the MAC-10 | Oceanic, because the 0.00 to 0.07 stretch is short. The skin was released in September 2017.
What the MAC-10 | Oceanic costs in Factory New
On this skin Factory New is the priciest wear, and the others cost less:
- Minimal Wear (MW) is 1.7 times cheaper;
- Field-Tested (FT) is 2.3 times cheaper;
- Well-Worn (WW) is 2.4 times cheaper;
- Battle-Scarred (BS) is almost twice as cheap.
Among the eighteen Mil-Spec MAC-10 skins, this one sits in the lower part: two cost less and fifteen cost more. The MAC-10 | Ensnared and MAC-10 | Monkeyflage run almost level with it, and the MAC-10 | Rangeen costs one and a half times more. The top of the row belongs to the MAC-10 | Fade, MAC-10 | Ultraviolet and MAC-10 | Copper Borre.
Getting the MAC-10 | Oceanic
The skin drops from the Spectrum 2 Case. A trade-up cannot produce it: in the collection it is the lowest rank. The skin itself serves as an input for a contract into the Restricted rank, where ten Mil-Spec skins from the set yield one Restricted skin.
StatTrak and Souvenir
The skin has a StatTrak™ version. There are no Souvenir packages for it, but you can build a Souvenir copy through the Souvenir-O-Matic.
Stickers and craft on the MAC-10 | Oceanic
The pattern sits on the upper part and the lower part stays bare metal, so a sticker has room to land away from the blotches. Light and white stickers read best on the dark blue. Blue and light blue ones blend into the blotches. For a craft in a cold palette, the skin fits naturally.
Who this wear suits
There are three reasons to buy the MAC-10 | Oceanic in Factory New:
- you want a CS2 MAC-10 with a blue pattern and no visible wear;
- you value a clean dark base for light stickers;
- you are buying the skin for a cold-toned set where the other pieces are gray and blue.
If price matters, look at Battle-Scarred or Well-Worn: they cost half as much or less, and the pattern stays the same.
