MAC-10 | Sakkaku (Field-Tested)

Field-Tested (FT) is the cleanest state the MAC-10 | Sakkaku comes in: its wear scale opens at 0.21, so Factory New and Minimal Wear do not exist here. The float bounds are 0.21 and 0.38. The rank is Restricted, the submachine gun drops from the Revolution Case, and it goes to the Terrorist side.

What the MAC-10 | Sakkaku looks like in Field-Tested

Paint covers only the upper receiver and the magazine, which is orange with diamond knurling. On the side panel is the face of a girl in anime style: pale skin, pale hair, red eyes. Behind her the ground is cream and sand, crossed by black and red-orange rays. Barrel, charging handle, lower frame and sliding stock stay gray metal. SAKKAKU runs vertically in white letters on the strap by the handguard. Valve notes that under certain lighting the eyes glow red.

Field-Tested rubs the edges of the side panel and the rib of the magazine well. The diamond knurling loses paint fastest, since the relief stands proud. The face sits on the flat middle of the panel and lasts longer, but the thin black outlines of eyes and hair thin out before the flat color does.

Where the MAC-10 | Sakkaku came from

The artwork came from the Steam Workshop, from an author going by Anbu. He posted "Mac-10 Sakkaku" on December 8, 2022 and explained the title at once: sakkaku is Japanese for illusion. His younger sister, thirteen at the time, drew the portrait, and he is credited as co-author.

The MAC-10 | Sakkaku entered the game on February 9, 2023 with the whole Revolution Collection. The case brought seventeen finishes, and its rare items are gloves from The Clutch Collection. Valve lists the work under number 1229.

What to check before buying

What gets checked before buying a MAC-10 | Sakkaku:

• float: a pale ground shows wear early, and toward the top of the band the side panel grays over;

• the outlines of the face, since the finest black lines go first;

• What the previous owner left on the gun — stickers and an applied name.

No lucky pattern to chase here: the artwork is always the same.

The stretch from 0.21 to 0.38 holds tidy copies and badly rubbed ones alike.

What the MAC-10 | Sakkaku costs in Field-Tested

The skin has three wears in all, counted from this one:

• Well-Worn is cheaper by about half;

• Battle-Scarred by a factor of roughly two and a quarter.

Nowhere to climb: no clean wears were issued, so Field-Tested is the top step in looks and price. The fall below is steep, which is not the usual shape inside the Restricted rank.

The MAC-10 carries sixteen Restricted finishes, and Sakkaku stands fifth by rising price. MAC-10 | Button Masher, MAC-10 | Allure, MAC-10 | Pipe Down and MAC-10 | Cat Fight come in below it, while MAC-10 | Saibā Oni is already dearer. The rank is topped by MAC-10 | Red Filigree, almost two hundred times the money.

Getting the MAC-10 | Sakkaku

The Revolution Case is the only case this finish turns up in. The second road to a MAC-10 | Sakkaku is the contract: ten skins a rank below from the same set.

StatTrak and Souvenir

Stickers and craft on the MAC-10 | Sakkaku

The MAC-10 | Sakkaku has a StatTrak version. No Souvenir packages were ever made for this finish, because packages only ever covered tournament map collections. A souvenir copy can still be built by hand. The Souvenir-O-Matic puts gold tournament stickers and a player autograph on a normal skin from the inventory. That is why the odd souvenir copy turns up where no package was ever made.

The portrait fills the side panel, so a CS2 build goes on the magazine and the stock tube. The pale sand ground is demanding: dark stickers read on it, light ones dissolve. Red and orange work picks up the rays behind the face and passes for part of the artwork.

Who this wear suits

Buy the MAC-10 | Sakkaku in Field-Tested on these terms:

• you want an inexpensive anime finish for the Terrorist side in CS2;

• the cleanest wear the skin has ever had matters to you;

• you pick a listing by float, the side panel being nearly even at the bottom of the band.

The weak spot is that pale ground: closer to 0.38 it grays at the edges and the artwork loses crispness. The MAC-10 also comes out mostly on eco rounds, so the portrait rarely gets studied.
